The Apprentice - (2013)
Enthusiastic Contrafibularities Well, just played catch-up as I was out yesterday. Not pleased with the result as I am not happy with the industry Leah is now in. I think the profits Lord Sucrose could realise swung the final decision. To be honest the final candidates did not draw me in with their personalities, they both come across a little too cold. Luisa could still go out and get the finance needed to launch the business. I think I said a woman would win at the beginning Alas no prize for me. [ more ]

El Loro Electrode vest gives hope to heart rhythm patients By Jane Dreaper Health correspondent, BBC News Doctors are using special vests to precisely diagnose abnormal heart rhythms, in the first UK tests of their kind. Cardiologists from Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in west London say the vests have enabled them to successfully treat more patients. They hope the technology could eventually help more people suffering from heart palpitations. The Arrythmia Alliance described the tests as a... [ more ]
El Loro From the BBC: Government warned over 'them and us' online services The government is in danger of creating a "them and us" situation by digitising public services, a report warns. Ministers say 82% of "transactions" can be carried out online, as that is roughly the proportion of the population which uses the internet. But the National Audit Office argued that the percentage of people able to access some services, such as those used by elderly people, was lower. It called for "continued... [ more ]
El Loro From the BBC: A Canadian accountant has managed to create a basic video game using only Excel spreadsheets. The game, called Arena.Xlsm, is a turn-based fantasy game in which players fight monsters and gather loot to make their character more powerful. Much of Arena is regenerated every time the game is played to lend variety to the way it is completed. It was created using macros - simple programs and shortcuts that users create to speed up use of the program. Chartered accountant Cary... [ more ]

The late great Tommy Cooper, some of his best
Former Member The X Factor. Magic [ more ]
Yellow Rose Great read He was one of the greats, I saw some reruns of his tv shows a few months ago, absolutely brilliant. I miss the comedians of earlier years, I can't be bothered with the ones that are on tv now. [ more ]
Cinds Strangely, Master C recently asked me about Tommy Cooper and how he died on stage. I googled it for him and his reaction was 'tears', I honestly think he thought it would be amusing, he is 15 and they have odd ideas. But when he saw it (and to be honest it was the first time I had watched it too), I think it scared him how quickly a life can go. [ more ]

Hicky's Chat Room
Hicky Good afternoon, Mollie & Baz. Just lost a whole post, it said it was a bad page or something and i hadn't copied it, oh dear. Cold here as well for a few days, and rain most day for rest of month. Glad you got a walk in Baz, had ice on my 50cm water saucer on the table by the back door, its so i cn see if its raining. Am going to stick with the Denny sausages and the Herta hot dog ones, so nice. I think the sleet or snow was collecting on the Ring doorbell camera and sliding down, which... [ more ]
Baz Afternoon Mollie and Hicky 🥰🥰Sunny , but very cold here today ….and more snow forecast by the weekend …and strong winds …which I hate !😞 It looks like the next few days are going to be wet , so I went for a long walk this morning , even though it was a bit dicey in places !😱😱Still , I got home in one piece ! 🤣🤣Aside from that I’ve hoovered upstairs and down , done two loads of washing , and fed the wildlife . I went out to empty the bins and found that the bin lids were frozen shut! [ more ]

Ways to prevent a scarf shedding over clothes
SazBomb Reference: If it's a synthetic (man-made fiber), such as acrylic, polyester, nylon, etc: take it back to the store, synthetic fibers aren't supposed to shed, so it's a manufacturing defect with the yarn. I checked mine this morning and they're both acrylic and both shed [ more ]

Darthhoob sad situation for the youngest why can't parents think of their kids before themselves. you'd think it would come naturally wouldn't you. i've known similar mothers, i tended to make friends with 'wayward' kids when i was a kid i just watched that show (all 5 episodes so far) and those young mothers all seemed to just crack on the get it done and learn alongthe way. parenting is something we ALL learn along the way...young or old. there are no rule books or instructions and all babies are...
