Whats in your handbag??
mary_bee Why on earth didn't you keep those vital things in there? [ more ]
Dirtyprettygirlthing Yep Mary-bee.... I can now confirm that the manky lipstick and the cherry soother are now in the bin! [ more ]
mary_bee Camera, purse, notebook, pens, Slyvia Plath's Ariel (bizarrely), numerous packets of Airwaves and Airwaves wrappers, a pearl necklace, chewed straw, a pair of underwear, a pair of tights, paracetomol, Polish adverts, lip balm, safety pins, an address from a Polish dancer, eye cream for bags, tube of skin cream and countless pointless bits of paper. I should clear this out more. [ more ]

BBC COMPLAINTS EURO !
~Orchid~ The standard of songs is getting too high. They have to be rubbish that's the point! I didn't think GN was that bad. He was a lot less intrusive than I thought he would be. Still miss our Tel though [ more ]
Hicky The problem with Graham Norton is that he thinks we want to listen to him, even when there's someone else to listen to. Can't they give us all a button so that we can turn him off. Or a Pause button. Well we wouldn't want to turn him on would we. [ more ]
Well-Wisher Eurovision was good this year. The quality of the songs was generally higher than usual. I liked the giant flying swimming pools but worried that they might fall and crush/drown all the people underneath Graham Norton was just annoying and I would have preferred if he hadn't talked all the way through the link-up with the cosmonauts. UK, US, Region Question
cologne 1 I think it'd be lovely to have US FMs joining in. I understand the 'spoiler' issue for certain programmes, but maybe something can be worked out, it shouldn't hold the forum back as a whole. [ more ]
Yellow Rose that made me laugh. I visit a large Forum that has members from US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Europeans including Brits. Everyone gets on fine - just an occasional spat - but if any of them visited this Forum they'd get a very different view of certain Brits than they're used to Runs away with EA lol [ more ]
Essie I think we should be able to speak directly with the American Fm's, when they see how stupid our posts are, they will be glad they moved over there in the first place all them hundreds of years ago. Runs away quick. [ more ]

The McCanns ::: The Portugese police perspective
Former Member I didn't see this -did the jounalist have some professional qulaification/expertise to make the judgement? Also, remember reading somewhere that the McCann parents had 'passed' a lie detector test, does anyone know who undertook this and what they were asked? [ more ]
Former Member Does 'rational debate' mean 'post as many defamatory links about the McCanns as I can and ignore any questioning or probing responses' ? Looks very much like it. [ more ]
Comrade Ogilvy I've made my feelings about this case clear in that I believe the official investigation, I do of course hope the portugese police are wrong., I'd love to think there is some hope. This is my last word about this matter as it is obvious by the amount of wind up posts by ignored FMs that rational debate is simply not possible on here. I will perhaps post on trivial matters and on BB10 when it's on. [ more ]

Thunder & Lightning Storm
*BB* We tend to lose our power when there's a thunderstorm too so I dread them. We lost our power and our telephone connection a couple of years ago when the telegraph pole in our garden was hit by lightning. It made quite a mess of the telephone connection box as well as the wiring. [ more ]

Big Brother 10 Pics/Information
San Thanks for the link, Ricky. It's a shame that the press seem to know who the contestants will be and print details because, sadly, they are often correct which takes some of the fun out of launch night. I see they're doing the usual of adding new housemates later on The comment regarding whether the producers decide if someone 'fits in' with the rest of the group is a bit weird. I thought the concept was to throw in a complete mix of people [ more ]

British Press
Heatseek Re: British Press [ more ]
Demantoid Worth the wait. There is a right little git in it, who prospers by lying because the bosses are more interested in prizes than truth. But there are others who are more sympathetic - and some of the lines spouted by management weasels ("do more with less") could have come straight from a certain chief exec I know of.. [ more ]

Can anyone help me comp stuff
MikeOxlong I'm pretty sure you could do this in Windows Movie Maker on your PC. I have used it to create titled videos to upload onto Youtube. You would need to create your text inserts in Publisher and import them as needed. Once on the storyboard you can determine how long they are displayed for by stretching them on the timeline. Once done-go to "produce movie" and select VCD format. That should give you a file ready to burn to CDR. [ more ]

fart noise, highly annoying
Heatseek I used to have the very same problem on the old C4 forum using Internet Explorer & resolved it by allowing Pop-Ups. I use Firefox mostly now and haven't heard that awful noise since...it sounded like a very wet fart Check out this thread (...tenth post down) hope it helps... http://cruise-chat.com/eve/for...1066823/m/6531076833 [ more ]
Steven That's not part of this community. I would recommend scanning your computer for spyware, malware, and other related stuff. I'm going to take a wild guess here -- do you use Internet Explorer? [ more ]
