Soozy Woo As soon as I sawhe title of this thread I thought of the laughing policeman. I know it's sad (incredibly) but i cannot hear that song without laughing my socks off .......same as the laughing sailor in the glass booth at seasides (long gone) but still round our way until a few years ago. Heatseek Hi Dolly I use this Zattoo player quite often & it really is good for watching telly on-line, you just have to download the player which is only a small programme from Zattoo take a look anyways, they also stream in Hi Definition. [ more ]

faerykelstar I'm not so sure, I think if they had sat her down and explained she may get some bad press and helped her deal with it then it wouldn't be so hard on her. I never actually said BB contestants are talented ( anything but!!) just that they have preparation before going into the house to prepare them for the onslaught when they leave it. I do actually feel sorry for her, but think that the show's producer's are loving it because it gets the show talked about. All publicity is good publicity and... [ more ]

faerykelstar I totally agree with this point. They get the preparation on BB so they should as well on BGT. Anyone would find it difficult to deal with, but unfortunately it seems inevitable that there will be some negativity to deal with. This seems to have been either overlooked by the producers, or exploited to gain further media interest in the show. [ more ]

HyacinthB I agree katya. Not only do FM's have to go to bed and therefore unable to watch livefeed during the wee small hours but presumably the HM's will be sleeping too so what's the point eh? Far better to show some livefeed during the day. [ more ]
katya I work from home and I usually watch it at 10am when they get up in yhe morning, then 2pm to see what they are doing,then again about 5 30 to 7pm. I dont usualy watch at night and I am in my kip by 11pm.The best live sreaming I saw was George Galloway doing the cat thing Ill hate it if I miss stuff like this. Dont know if Ill watch it at all, Its all ruined. [ more ]

Blackpudlian Mum was so brave it has left me with the idea that when I go to the doctors I try not to even wince when the doctor hits the hurting spot until I can't stand the pain any more. The nurse said I was potty but I can't help it. I was with Mum at the doctors when he pressed on her tum and she actually yelped and told him he was the first doctor to make her cry out. He told her the others hadn't been doing it right. It was a shock to everyone when a few weeks later she was diagnosed with cancer... [ more ]

faerykelstar Well, I say compost heap but really it's a pile of all the old branches from the trees that they cut down ages ago. No-one really gardens as it's a shared one, and all the paid gardeners do is cut down all the stinging nettles when they get too big. Thanks for the advice though Demantoid. [ more ]

faerykelstar Lovely sunflowers. I took it upon myself to do a spot of gardening today in our shared garden. We have a lovely bush and some nice spiky plants but you couldn't see them for all the binder weed that was choking them so I tugged it all up and chucked it on the compost heap. Felt good afterwards as now the plants can grow. [ more ]

Queen of the High Teas Thanks Ditty. I'm going to see what happens when I talk to my GP on Monday, he's ususally lovely, although not the most pro-active doctor in the world. If I still don't get a referal about the SPD I will complain. I've got to go to the hospital on the 12th for an anti D jab and gestational diabetes tests, so maybe things will start improving with my overall care then. Like I say though, if it doesn't start to get better I think my hubby will be insisting on an official complaint. [ more ]

Dora Yes 3G mobile broadband is the best. Great coverage and i use it and havent had any problems at all so far. Very easy to set up on your lappy as well. Im using it now outside in the sun with a glass of rose.....bliss [ more ]

Lindsxdx As for the jokes yesterday, the later ones were funny. I was there with my John Terry jokes last year, don't dish out what you can't take. It was the jokes about leaving your boots on to stamp on my head that I didn't find funny. To be honest, I feel the same as above about the match.
