miss lippy Oh Rekaf, do make sure you get you flu vaccination this year. If your GP doesn't have any vaccine, I am sure you can buy it from boots (about £15.00) and get a nurse to give it to you. This year we will have the standard flu about and swine flu, so you can get a double dose and that is the last thing anyone wants. Presumably you will be on the list of people give the swine flu vac when it is released in 2 weeks or so. Just had a call from daughter's OH to say she will be admitted to hospital... [ more ]
Rekaf i hope she is ok miss lippy, i have had the flu about 3 times in 25 years and when i get it i get it really bad...the whole process takes about 4 weeks from start to finish and during the second week i feel like i have been hit by a train, with all the swine flu problems at the moment i think a lot of people have forgotten how bad ordinary flu can be...my local health centre sent me a letter to get a flu jab as i was considered 'at risk' but every time i ring up they dont have any....... miss lippy My daughter and her O/H were diagnosed with Swine Flu on Wednesday. He has had fairly mild syptoms - sore throat bit of a cough and a temp for 24 hours. My daughter is so poorly, raging temp every muscle in her body aching, vomiting, headache and now has a secondary chest infection and is on anti biotics. The other thing I feel should be pointed out is that although he started off saying that he will be up for eviction, he went on to say that he had to do a task, so he's not actually telling them not to vote for him, just explaining what happened in the DR. Mazzystar My daughters english teacher has it..and shes displaying flu symptoms.Bad headache,dizzy,nauseous,tired lethargic.If she has got it(and we've been told to assume so)she was far more poorly with tonsillitis last year.Shes not actually bed ridden,so seems to not be one of the worst affected. Its now considered endemic in the country...which is why labs are no longer testing for swine flu itself.Unless someones really poorly, they will be treated as tith any other viral... [ more ]

DanceSettee I would imagine that it would simply be a case of spinning them a believable "us and them" story, then setting them loose myself. The military are not trained to be free thinkers, they are conditioned to obey....as long as they were sent a safe distance from their own communities I doubt if there would be problems . [ more ]

Former Member I doubt know, pengy. "Just following orders" is the mantra of the military drones. It was clear when the special unit went out to assinate Jack and the others of Torchwood. It took awhile for the woman commander to figure it out that Torchwood was the only thing that could save them. squiggle Well said captain marbles. A lot of people have taken a lot of time to 'get' Freddie and many people last year believed the hype about Rachel and never got her at all. They are both lovely people and the world is better off with people like Rachel and Freddie in it rather than Lisa and Kris types, of which IMO there are already too many. [ more ]

CaptVimes I dont know who in their right mind would consider putting to sea without taking a captaincy course. Yea I dont understand why its not mandatory either. The rules for accidents between boats at sea are quite shocking too. I remember when one of my friends got hit by one of those rich toy owners. Could have ruined them because their yacht was their home too not a plaything. Most people dont even know what the warning flags on the beach are. The lilo dingys in windy weather are the worst aye.
