Will plastic bags go out of fashion?
Madame Arcati People have been using the sturdier type of carrier bags from a variety of supermarkets when they do their grocery shopping for ages now. For every person shopping in M&S with a Sainsbury's bag someone else will be in Sainbury's with an M&S bag. The company's marketing people may not be too happy about someone shoving their products into a rival's bag but if I was a shop assistant it wouldn't bother me. They probably do the same thing themselves [ more ]

Howard Kendall (1946-2015)
Cold Sweat The man whose Everton team seriously dented the dominance of Liverpool during the 1980's! I've never seen footage of him at his absolute prime as a player - but the way people still talk of the holy trinity - the Everton midfield of Kendall, Ball and Harvey during the late 60's and early 70's; he was clearly some player!
