If you were transported through time to say 1970?
Cariad I remember they were building houses near us and at the end of the day the workmen would just down tools and go home - sod fences and signs to keep us put cos of "elf & safety" - leaving us kids with a brilliant opportunity to clamber up the left behind stepladders to the upstairs of the half built houses so we could swing out of the windows (I can smell the breeze blocks and cement even now), we'd swarm over the diggers and JCB's - it was a whole new world of excitement for us. Yuk scabies.
Former Member The bites may be caused by bed bugs. These are becoming more common now in hotels, hostels etc. [ more ]
Dirtyprettygirlthing lol barney! Funnily enough this hasn't made my head itch... talking about or... dealing with head lice used to do that to me though. ((shudders)).... its been a good five years since I've had to deal with nits... I must have almost got used to it before (they were the bain of my life when my daughter was at primary school), cos I am back to being grossed out by them again now! [ more ]
Jen-Star No Barney!! I read it earlier and have been scratching my belly ever since As for weather to report it or not pigeon, i think you should, those poor old people who have put up with this for so long already need someone to speak up for them! No one will know it was you, and it should all get sorted out properly afterwards which will be good for residents, staff and visitors! [ more ]

Garage Joe Reference: These so called country folk that think they know better than the rest of us do my head in,arses! If foxes are a problem, which I doubt really, in the modern factory farming world where chickens etc don't see the sun, never mind a fox etc, surely they would be culled far more effectively with some quiet hunters etc with guns An interesting set of generalisations indeed! [ more ]
Liverpoollass Reference: kattymieoww online 6873 Forum Posts Yesterday at 9:54 PM (Edited: ) Fox hunting is going on because the law to ban it wasn't strong enough.Hounds and hunts can "chase" foxes and despatch them, not with hounds though, they are supposed to be shot "Humanely" aye right! Watch America's Best Dance Crew tonight....OR ELSE!!!
Scotty Reference: Rawky I did like the first crew with the levitating ball though, how the eff did they do that? I could only think that it was attached to an invisible string [ more ]
Jen-Star I watched it last night and last week on your recommendation, i enjoyed it. Wasn't too keen on the cloggers though. I did like the circus crew (cant remember their name think they were the ones who went last week) [ more ]
Rawky-Roo The way they did the trick was clever, but i wasn't blown away by their routine. In fact the whole show was quite odd, the tricks were distracting the routines. I did like the first crew with the levitating ball though, how the eff did they do that? [ more ]

Yellow Rose Another thing that's been happening, like forever, Some threads have several pages, if I quote someone I have to Reply on the page they've posted on, I can't reply on the last page. So I do that but when my post comes up on the last page the convo could have completely changed by then, or the issue posted about resolved by then, quite annoying. [ more ]

SOAPSTAR TO OPERA STAR
Yellow Rose I've never watched it either as I'm not interested in Opera. Sometimes I watch the Alan Titchmarch show so have heard him discuss it and recently saw he had Bernie Nolan on, she came across as very enthusiastic and while listening to her I felt maybe it could be interesting to watch, but I still haven't lol, don't even know when or what Channel it's on lol [ more ]

Super Bowl Live...
Eugene's Lair Reference MrMeatAndPotatoPie Yesterday at 23:30: Anyone else watching? What an overhyped-event Their having an orgasm over a coin toss I got interested in American Football when it was shown on C4 back in the 80's, and I must admit that I quite like it as a sport. However the hype and constant stoppages do leave me cold. I mean to say: they're dragging-out 1 hour of sport to 4-5 hours of coverage! [ more ]

kattymieoww I hate our own football/rugby etc,so this lame American version of rugby etc leaves me cold. England captain fired.
Garage Joe Reference: The general view they had was that it DID matter because this is world cup year (it is?? **shrugs**) and if England won that would be tarnished. Bobby Charlton is hailed as a paragon of sport and remembering the "win of 2010" would be sullied if Terry was the captain ... even more so if he became Sir Terry as a result. Next time try discussing it with real football fans. (I willn't let this lie) [ more ]
Cariad I klnow nothing about football (except the offside rule ) but I was discussing it with the male footie fans in the office yesterday before he'd been sacked and that other bloke bumped up. I suggested that (aside from the whole issue with it being the ex-partner of a team mate - but she's an ex so it should affect him should it??) his shoddy behaviour should not affect his position as football does not hold any moral implications as say politics would do - there's no "trust" element. it's... Cold Sweat Reference: Cold Sweat - I admire your loyalty to Sophie. You have not wavered. I've actually heard very little of her since last September - i only really scan the tabloids for gossip during and just after BB and don't follow the lads mags. However, i still have a fond memory of Siavash and Sophie waiting for the decision to be announced. [ more ]

Darthhoob depends on why you are quiet tbh. one of my best mates is VERY quiet. but she lets her opinion be known...quite forcefully too at times LOL. i certainly wouldn;t call her 'unchallenging' me though, i am quiet cos i am shy and i probably am a bit of a pushover when it comes to the workplace.....i just rant and rave to myself in me head LOL [ more ]

The REAL winner of the Nobel Peace Prize
Tequila I think you're right Daniel.............I was under the mistaken impression that it was more recent.......November 09. I received it via email just before christmas from my brother who, incidentally had served in Iraq with the British army [ more ]
Former Member Where did you find this, Tequila? It's from October 2006 as far as I can tell and the headline was different back then, The stuff about the peace prize (which I guess you've copied from wherever you got it from) seems to have appeared after Barack Obama was given the peace prize last year. It looks like it has resurfaced as a snub to the award last year and to make a political point in America. I'm guessing it's doing the rounds in US-military and anti-Democrat circles. [ more ]

8 boys and wanting a girl - C4
Dirtyprettygirlthing Looking back I think my initial desire for a boy (when I was preggers with my daughter) was cos her dad had left me when I was 6 mths pregnant for someone else.... so I think subconsciously I wanted a boy cos I imagined a mini-him, and cos I thought it would be more desirable to him. Alex - this is not what was meant to happen
kattymieoww Reference: Sky offline 375 Forum Posts 03 February 2010 21:29 (Edited: ) In my view, KP shows all the hallmarks of a sad immature girl who's emotionally troubled. She doesn't seem to give herself "time" to heal from previous emotional hurts - instead, she tends to jump from one relationship to the next in a short period of time. Taking with her, deep-seated resentments and unresolved issues that seem to surface consistently. So, I agree with the OP.....Alex is a fool. Whether he gains... [ more ]
