Boyzones new song......
Soozy Woo What a lovely video. Bought a tear to my eye ..............my daughter was and still is a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge Boyzone fan - she went to see them endless times and as a young teen absoloutely adored Stephen. As others have said ......I think it's lovely that there is genuine friendship and love between the boys - so glad they mended the rift before Stephen died - it would have been awful if there'd still had been bad feeling amongst them. The Oldest Swinger is no more...
Eugene's Lair Reference Veggieburger Today at 21:23: A lot of the comedians from that era seemed to have links with the folk/music scene and write funny songs - Jasper Carrot and Richard Digance etc. Very true. Arguably the biggest example (no pun intended) is Billy Connolly, who also started off as a folk singer. I think a lot of it comes down to the closer rapport of folk compared with most other types of music, which often leads performers to develop their "patter" and, ultimately, comedy routines. [ more ]

Women should have babies earlier in life?
Blizz'ard I was a proper tomboy, when I was growing up. Hated dolls and such, just wanted to climb trees and play cowboys and injuns. As soon as I hit my twenties, I suddenly wanted babies! [ more ]
Darthhoob Meh! you have them when you want them and are ready for them or when you get caught out [ more ]
Karma_ And with the natural instinct thing, some women have it and some dont. A good friend of mine is in her mid 40's, doesn't have children and has never wanted them. She says that some people find this odd, personally I don't. I think it's an individual's right to choose whichever path they want to pursue in life, children or not, it's also an individual's right to have a termination. (But that's a whole other thread I think) [ more ]

New proposed laws for dog owners
Smarting Buttocks I suspect that irrespsonsible dog owners will not bother with these regulations. [ more ]
prettycocoaeyes I agree with these laws, some dog owners just let their dogs do nasty things to people and just walk on by. People should be protected on the streets. [ more ]
Croctacus Reference: I was told by a police officer that having 'Guard dog' signs on my gate was more or less admitting that I owned a dangerous dog - which was against the law My mum also bred and showed GSDs for many years and when I was a kid went mad at me for painting 'beware of the dog' on the back gate...she'd also been told that any sort of sign is an admission that you think your dog could/may bite...making you more liable if it did happen, [ more ]

Marguerita and Angus
GMA Hi Marg, I might not have spent much time on here lately but I was so sadden by your news. You're so lovely and I can only say Angus had a wonderful life with such a wonderful person. I know, as a dog lover how the connection between both can feel - and a loss that's great, underestimated - but we're with you and can only be here for you.
