Demantoid Eurrroooggghhh I'm bad enough just with normal eye tests. When they start shining lights in my eye, and I can 'see' the image of the veins inside my eyeball, I feel faint. When they puff that air in to test my eyeball pressure, I can hear my heart banging against the walls of the room. When I had my post-op checkup for my shoulder, I saw pics of the inside of my shoulder joint, and the marrow-y bit where they'd shaved a bit of my collarbone off. And I loved it, because I'm a ghoul. Bojangles I have that problem with my right lower lid.I have a good magnifying glass and pluck the buggars out when they start to bother me.Caused by a cyst I had cut out years ago,but you can have an operation on the lower lid to stop it happening,I'm still thinking about that. [ more ]

There a loads who claim one home was 2nd home for expenses purposes, but when it came to selling claimed the other was the 2nd home for tax purposes. Surely both statements cannot be true. [ more ]

It's only good for you if you only eat tiny amounts like one small square each day. This is equivalent to half a small easter egg spread over the course of a week. El Loro Talk about unhappiness, the recent episodes have gone out their way to punish Jane as much as possible. How dare she have the temerity to be happy for a brief moment. Needless to say, her punishment isn't over yet. She doesn't yet know the true cause of Lucy losing the baby. Obviously the writers are saving this up so that when she is at her lowest, she can be told the brutal truth to make her misery even deeper. [ more ]
El Loro Needless to say by Friday's episode, normal doom, gloom and despondency had returned. The fundamental rule of life in Eastenders is that happiness is purely transient and must be followed by unhappiness which is the norm. It's just as well that Eastenders is not representative of the majority else as a society we would be finished. [ more ]

Garage Joe I think the point to make about gold buyers (a concept which covers the good, the not so good, and the criminal) is that they are nearer to the gold market price than the high street. I read of one person complaining that they had payed in excess of £100 for an item in a well known High street store, and were then ripped off buy a gold dealer for a tenner. In that situation it's the High Street who rip people off, big time. May be the same applies to cars? [ more ]

I did and discovered that someone had got hold of my credit card details and was trying to use them. Luckily the credit card company had picked it up immediately so I lost nothing. But of course my card had been put on hold and until the replacement arrived I was having to pay either in cash or by debit card. So you can't assume that this is just a marketing ploy.
