Its all Gordon Browns fault...
Garage Joe Like many people I was disappointed that Gordon Brown turned out to be another right wing PM. However in terms of facing off national crisis you can't fault him. He faced the domestic terrorist threat, he sorted out the global economic crisis even if it meant bailing out the one track minded, greed ridden, fat cat, capitalist hooerbags, and he has dealt with this one. EXACTLY....what a load of baws we have been fed, iceland is hardly effected, "don't you get large heavy ash particles that would fall out the sky" wheres the big piles of the stuff in iceland..all i've seen is a tiny smattering on some icelanders car windscreen....any smoke in the air would be blown in a certain direction by the wind, then gradually fall or evaporate, what a pile of turdness....WE HAVE BEEN DUPED BY A GOVERNMENT THAT HAS... Or do you intend to have even more MPs with no particular seat? GJ, I'm glad you have got a good MP. No, I don't want to see good MPs being debarred from being elected because of quota numbers. Politics.......
Dame_Ann_Average Reference: Margaret Thatcher was a self-serving, nasty, greedy, arrogant and inverted snob of a politician. She paved the way for the likes of Tony Blair (loved internationally but sending the nation to hell in a hand cart). El Loro Considering I'm a film fan, I have to confess that I've never seen Brokeback Mountain as it seems rather depressing. But there are so many films to choose from and I tend to watch films which fit my mood at the time. There's many famous good films I've never seen such as Titanic, Jaws, Saving Private Ryan as I have chosen not to. I should say that I have nothing against the directors of these films, I've seen plenty of their other films and enjoyed them. Though if I had realised that the... [ more ]

Sexy_Kelly God no! i couldn't stand the man. I may have been a know it all teen but he was straight out of teacher training and contradicted himself constantly. In one sentance he would say in georgraphy there is no right or wrong answer as long as you can explain your answer. My! How holiday postcards have changed!
Garage Joe Reference: Nowadays, with the "political correctness" brigade in full control, it would be likely that a council would require such postcards to be removed from public display in case anyone was offended. Hardly! The only occurence I remember is twenty years ago at my mainly male workplace. It was decreed from on high that any office, corridor, or control room should have all questionable postcards, particularly the ones from SE Asia, so called girly pics, and graphic calenders removed, this... El Loro I wonder what our friends in the States would make of our saucy holiday postcards? Rather like the Carry On films and the early Charlie Chaplin films before he became serious, they are have a very British sense of humour and are part of our heritage. Heatseek Volcanic ash cloud forces postponement of Japan MotoGP The volcano continues to billow ash and smoke into the air The Japanese MotoGP at Motegi has been called off because of air travel problems caused by the cloud of volcanic ash in Europe. Reports suggest it may be moved to 3 October as round 14 of the championship before Malaysia and Australia. [ more ]

Three Party Debate
Eugene's Lair Reference Smarting Buttocks Today at 23:03: One thing mentioned in the debate was heraditary peers - sorry I think I got the spelling wrong on that. These should be stopped asap. After all why should Mark Thatcher be a Sir simply because of his mother. I don't believe Mark will inherit any title from his mother. Margret Thatcher was given a Life Peerage as a Baroness - it's not hereditary. Mark did inherit the Baronetcy of Scotney from his father , Dennis, but although that allows him to... [ more ]
