Jade's mother hits a new low.
Bolton Fan The fact is the woman is of limited intelligence and a drug addict - she is not going to behave in the same way as your average person, plus she has the added burden of losing her daughter at a tragically young age. I personally would not expect her to behave rationally and would be surprised at anyone who would. [ more ]

OK she could have given them to a charity appeared on gmtv to tell them how nice she was. they would have given her an appearance fee and every one would have been happy and she would have been off her face by lunch time ... or she could have done loose women and doubled her money. Should long-term benefit claimants do community work?
cologne 1 I agree with the Tax Credit making a huge difference, but I was actually talking about before Labour thought of that. My real point was that the Tories are making a big fuss about something they never did anything about in the 80s and 90s, but are now using it as another club to beat labour with. [ more ]
Dirtyprettygirlthing Reference: Labour decided to bring out some form which would convince you that you where better of working, rather than not. Realitiy soon shows this to be different nah.. not for me. Just before Labour came in I had been forced to give up my job in a pub, as they worked out each quarter on the previous quarters income (irrelevant of explanations or circumstances)... they assumed I would earn the same amount of money in Jan, Feb, March as I had in Oct, Nov, Dec - XMAS... busiest time of the... Croctacus Reference: of working as opposed to live on benefits was exactly the same as today. In fact, Labour decided to bring out some form which would convince you that you where better of working, rather than not. For anyone with kids, with the tax credit system as set up under labour you are better off working ...unless of course you are pulling a fast one and working on the side. [ more ]

Thanks for your comments It was only autobigraphical is the sense that I am an accountant, that I had the local Co-op in mind as the shop and that my parents' large garden at that time was hopelessly overgrown and I didn't have the time necessary to do much about it. Poppies
Quimper I'd recommend anyone who can't be bothered to observe the silence to visit this place. Read some of the inscriptions on the graves for a little dose of reality, a lesson in counting your blessings, and perhaps to refocus on the word 'respect'. Strictly Come Dancing ( Bottom 2 spoiler)
darloboy (Play The Game!) Reference: That's why I think those people who do vote should not take their favourites for granted and should keep voting for them. You never know what could happen otherwise Exactly and then they moan when their favourite goes, although some of us here do that and we don't even vote . Alesha and Bruno were spot on yesterday IMO looking at the judges marks , Len and Craig had a crazy night. [ more ]
brisket I'm glad you have posted the leaderboard darlo. Thanks. Although I watched the programme I hadn't fully realised there was a 3-way tie between Felicity, Gavin and Patsy. It splits the vote obviously. But what hits me even more is that couples with marks in the 30s are even under threat. Scary and unpredictable. That's why I think those people who do vote should not take their favourites for granted and should keep voting for them. You never know what could happen otherwise...... [ more ]
darloboy (Play The Game!) So leaderboard from last night was: Kara and Artem- 36 Matt and Aliona- 35 Pamela and James- 33 Jimi and Flavia - 32 Michelle and Brendan - 30 Felicity and Vincent- 29 Gavin and Katya- 29 Patsy and Robin- 29 Scott and Natalie- 28 Ann and Anton- 17 Both the bottom 2 were in the middle, however what has led to Jimi's departure aside from clearly the fact he got the least votes last night to be in the bottom 2 is that 3 way tie between Felicity, Gavin and Patsy, they need to sort that tie rule... El Loro I have now discovered what is going on with the odd times found by people over the last few hours. The Pacific Time Zone put back the clock by 1 hour at 2 this morning.
