It is often clear that one of them is the "boss" and barely listens to anything the other one says. Communication between the 2 is often non-existent. So long as you get them early and dissuade any new queens from nesting it's OK. This is my 3rd consecutive year of attack & counter attack. The good weather has brought them out in search of food a bit earlier. I am the only one who uses the powder. I put the ant traps down right in their path and they just walked round them. So I put the Nippon gel on bits of card. they ignored it. Someone tipped them off [ more ]

my nans 88 its a nightmare to get her appointments too. she had a heart scan 4 weeks ago at hospital and doctors have only today phoned her (after mum kept phoning for results) to say hes going to refer her back to hospital for surgery, i dont think my poor nan at 88 could cope with surgery. Come to my surgery and I can book you in up to 4 weeks in advance. Just don't try and book a same day emergency appointment cos you need a med3 to get a DSS payout and you forgot to do it ealier. Medical emergencies only! [ more ]

Certainly a bit of both, but I do believe that what the parents were ie; musicians or doctors or whatever, will have an effect on what their offsspring are. (so 'nature' prevails there) seems to overtake nurture somewhat. But nurture is crucial too. [ more ]
I was gonna put 'that's a hard one' but then sat & thought about a few screwed up families & people & situations I have come across. And I would definitely have to say NATURE . The old saying comes to mind with that, 'you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink' . You can teach a child the right way in society all you like but their instinct will always be telling them something different - their own way. [ more ]
