Former Member Hi Scotty, you and i have been having the same problems lately. It looks like you have it sorted now. Are you aware of the spanner, top right hand side on GC ? The newest Beckham
El Loro There's this BBC article about why they chose Seven. It may be to do with the shirt number David Beckham ended up with at MU and also England. I would think that Harper would be from Harper Lee who wrote To Kill a Mockingbird which is the most popular book in the States. [ more ]

Cheryl officially declared as USA X-Factor Judge
Garage Joe I was down at Mater and Pater's today, where I was able to leaf through the Sunday Mirror. Apart from the awful picture of Abigail Crouch, which made me sick up a bit, they had a series of before and after photos of the likes of Kate Winslett, Kat Deeley, and her out of the extras. Apparently they have to lose weight and stuff to be treated seriously in the states. What a mess and what a lucky escape for Cheryl. [ more ]
Former Member I really didn't think she would get the job Oh well good luck to her - I don't mind her too much. I wonder if the latest photos are to appeal to the USA market......the second one looks a bit Tiffany-esque. [ more ]
Former Member I can't stand Cheryl Cole but I think her hair looks magnificent in those pictures. I much prefer the format of American Idol to the X Factor, and probably won't bother watching the X Factor. [ more ]

Home made Jam/Jelly help.
Garage Joe Well done! I haven't seen any gooseberries since I was a child. [ more ]
Garage Joe Looking back I see that I haven't answered a couple of questions. Yes! I went to Lakeland. The jellybag which had been passed down through the family will be the last. I can fashion my own set up. I paid a fiver for a cheap set of Salter scales, and rather over the top for a bottle of certo and a can of lemon pulp. I bought the latter two because I couldn't find them anywhere else. However it's jam sugar from now on. [ more ]
Yogi19 They sound lovely, Joe. I made my first jam last year, gooseberry jam and strawberry jam. Both were a big success with the family, I was quite pleased with my efforts. My mum makes the best bramble jelly ever. Shop bought jams don't come close to homemade for flavour, IMO. [ more ]

Former Member I haven't been since my kids were young which is about 15 years ago but they really enjoyed it. It wasn't so much scary as gory I thought. The Jack the Ripper experience bit was really creepy and atmospheric though. One of the workers there crept up up behind her and made her jump out of her skin - she still talks about it now [ more ]

Mobile phone help please
Katerina If he goes to the other providers and makes enquiries about what they will offer, then he has material to negotiate with his current provider, it is true that some will offer incentives to keep you, but it depends. If he finds a better deal somewhere else, it might actually be better to switch, because a lot of the mobile companies don't seem to reward or care about loyalty anymore. [ more ]

One way to deal with people who urinate in public.
MrMincePie Agree about that, but watched one of his other videos with someone parking outside his home and he was argueing with the man who parked there. He came across as a total idiot, when asked for papers of proof that it is indeed his parking space he couldn't provide it... and then when he rung the police he said it was a different issue this time to the last. Sounds like a grumpy man who contacts the police every time theres a small incident. [ more ]

Why do people dislike Cher Lloyd?
Katerina I heard her being interviewed on Radio One a couple of weeks ago, and she seemed quite humble about her rise to fame so far.........but I can't forget the attitude she showed when certain judges dared to criticise her on X Factor. suzybean I remember it well. It was on a Great Ormond St. Hospital clinic day for my son, but we were called and told not to come in that afternoon as all the available medics had gone round the corner to see if they could help the injured from the bus bombing in Tavistock Square.
