X factor is REALLY starting to annoy me!
Former Member Could be a bit before my time Yogi. I was born in the mid 70s.... To be honest, I remember very little before the 80s...I have heard of New Faces, but I never saw it I don't think... I just googled New Faces and it sure did produce some stars! Lenny Henry was on it! Wow. 2 days in and hanging on by my fingernails
Starfleet Admiral hoochie I've enjoyed the last couple of shows - but it just leaves you wanting more. I've picked a favourite HM to make life interesting on here .....but I know nothing about her. By this time normally I'd at least have a view on whether I'd made a hideous mistake! If not from watching myself, by the comments of others who had been watching and the LUT. Even if they're right about less people watching live feed, they're going to realise that they're wrong about the impact of dropping it. Those who... [ more ]
LowonIQ I watch, I enjoy but there really is so little, hard to make an opinion of any of em. Pammee is playing for BB and us, ie she's taking away our right to choose from the HM's nominations, very not happy about that. And did I mention it's a travesty without LF. [ more ]

Where were you on this day, 10 years ago?
MrsB I was away with my family getting over a miscarriage...we were in the Lake District and had spent a lovely relaxing day with them, we got back to the cottage and I popped to the shop...MrB came running after me going 'Hurry up, something f***ing bad has happened'....I went into panic mode thinking something had happened to my eldest...got in and my initial relief at my child being ok soon turned to horror and sadness as we sat glued to the telly....it seemed so unreal, so far away...yet the... Cosmopolitan Watched it right from the first news break. Hubby always puts Sky News on the minute he gets up in the morning. He was at home and I can remember walking into the kitchen, making a cuppa and then sitting there for the rest of the day watching it all unfold. I need to fess-up.
Lori *sigh* I'm going to keep this brief, since I feel like the least said about it the better: Of course I had no choice but to ban him after this. I know there were suspicions about him, but I had no PROOF, and I don't have the luxury of acting on suspicions, I'm afraid. Murray takes third set.
Cold Sweat I was hoping that Andy Murray and C-Woz would both win their first Grand Slam titles this weekend. Disappointed with the results (albeit both had an inevitability attached)and annoyed that i bothered to stay up until almost 5am watching! [ more ]
Aquarius Couldn't agree more Katerina. I was really disappointed in Murray's antics ~ he defeated himself. And the annoying thing is he does have the game to beat any of the others but it seems he doesn't believe he can. Sad. [ more ]
Katerina It's a shame that Murray didn't start the match with any purpose. He really had a chance, but let it go. Hope he can improve his mental state in these big matches, because until he does, he won't win a slam. Federer v Djokovic, how amazing was that match?!! [ more ]

Nice to see someone on The X Factor who can sing!
Former Member I thought he was quite good, but agree with Kaffy, that the sob story about his bipolar mum was unnecessary and came across as being a bit attention seeking and tacky.. What exactly does it have to do with his singing? Sorry, but we all have a sob story or two to tell, but we don't use them to advance our careers or gain sympathy from folk. Smacks of serious attention-seeking. That said, I do wonder if people entering are asked if they have a sob story. I remember my old neighbour a few... [ more ]

I'm not a happy tax person today
PeterCat Well the Tax Credits have come through - a little less than I was expecting but I can't complain. What's still worrying me is the Housing Benefit, expecially since this is the largest part of my benefit. So far they've continued paying it, but I have to let them know how much Tax Credit i'm getting, and apparently that could reduce my HB. Fingers crossed it's not by a lot! [ more ]

I'll see what happens, but I will consider appealing... [ more ]
