Saw the footage earlier on!!!!!!! It was like a scent from a Hollywood film, the stuff that someone filmed and put on youtube. Just awful. Quite chilling too to think that it *may* have been people looking at the firework display that caused it. [ more ]

We stopped going to organised displays because the one near us seemed to end up with a firework shooting off into the crowd whenever we went. We now just irresponsibly set our own off, no injuries as yet though... [ more ]
If I had my way fireworks would only be available through professional licensed companies, doing organised displays.. the ones the public can buy are pretty shit anyway. I do love watching a really big really impressive display (like the New Years ones in London)... or even our town one in the park... but the random ones people buy to let off in the gardens are crap. And yeah.. the animals. We're lucky, first couple of years with the dog were a bit mad.. barking & stuff, but he's really... [ more ]

I just had a thought about this splitting it equally amongst themselves once they get out... won't that be deemed a gift, for those that get the lower amounts and need the others to give money to them to make it up to 10k, and therefore won't it be taxable? the prize money they get officially off BB is tax free isn't it but a share out between themselves after it is finished wouldn't be surely? They'd have to work it so they cover any tax payable and still all get the same amount if that is... [ more ]

Sorry to hear about your computer problems. I am in the industry myself and pretty annoyed when people do that kind of thing - I assure you we are not all bad. I'm up here in Yorkshire so anyone I know is a bit too far away. We have local forums which are great for finding the type of help you require, do you have such forums in your area? If you are not successful, I would opt for buying a new one and then selling all your other parts on-line to recoup some cash. [ more ]

Chicken I did extra modules to avoid doing a dissertation well the way I work is to firstly think what area am I interested in. Do a spider gram with topics that relate. Form into a plan by ordering those topics in the order I'm going to talk about them. Write and let the words tumble (as Soozy said) as much as you can (but take breaks) leave it for at least a few days then return to it with fresh eyes. tweak and add/delete as necessary. get someone else to read it to check for grammar and... I'd let her go, Aimee. She will have a brilliant time and it will give her a huge amount of confidence. I still remember the time my eldest started driving, going to music festivals and branching out on her own and the terrible fear, until they are back safely at home, but it helps them grow and that is what a parent has to go through.
