Cagney I agree Yellow Rose. I thought he was real and his emotions were real. Which is why I think it's so cruel. Imagine if he'd killed one of the "infected"? If he'd lobbed a brick at one of their heads and killed them? How would that stand up in court? "yeah sorry about that but I thought it was the apocalypse and that they were gonna eat me". Cagney Depends on the circumstances. I've been known to start drinking at 8am while doing the Xmas dinner. On holiday I have a drink by the pool about 10am. At T in the Park I have cider for breakfast at the crack of dawn. Brunch with the girls at 11am...yeah I'll have a drink. These are good things. Bad things are...not being able to function in the morning without a drink. Drinking to wipe out bad memories. Drinking to make you feel better. Drinking before you go to work etc. [ more ]

Soozy Woo I remember when I first learned to swim. I was about seven or eight - it was SUCH AN SENSE OF ACHIEVMENT - I'd been trying and trying for ages - my sister and friends just got it straight away and I really struggled. I ended up a much better swimmer than them - I was quite good as a kid. It took a while to learn though. My mum learned much later in life (quite a while after me) my dad never managed it. [ more ]

Hugh Lawrie's American accent was so convincing that at first the people who worked with him on the series didn't realise he wasn't American. Part drama, part House's ability to diagnose the most obscure ailments in existence, in brain power the medical equivalent of Sherlock Holmes. [ more ]

There is a hunting scene in it where the shooting party are shooting at birds, squirrels etc and it is hard to watch as there is no doubt that these are being killed. It is a prolonged scene. Citizen Kane is admired by critics for its technical aspects rather than being liked. A lot of the credit should go to Gregg Toland for his cinematography. Carnelian Prison is the sentence. Loss of freedom is the sentence. People go on about X boxes and TVs but how else do you pacify someone held in a cell for 15 hours a day? Voting is a right, not for murders and rapists, but for people on sentences less than five years, I think it is right that they should get to vote in the society that has jailed them and sentenced them and the society that hopes they will rejoin as a rehabilitated citizen.
