This from the HMRC website (The taxt in bold font is the most relevant) Any gifts your mother make to individuals will be exempt from Inheritance Tax as long as she lives for seven years after making the gift . Angel Well I think she looks amazing I don't want to put a damper on this but I shall be "very" interested to see how long she keeps all that weight off for. That, in my opinion, is the hardest part. Usually, the losing of the weight is the easy part but once the inital buzz is over the weight begins to slowly creep back on. Fair play to her though she has done amazingly well [ more ]
