The new Green Day album...
Ducky I've just stuck it on my mp3 player so I can listen on the way to work tomorrow. It's only a 15 minute drive though..... I must find a longer way round. [ more ]
Dark~Angel Glad you agree Duckypup Couldn't listen tonight.. I'm still reeling from LOST finale.. but I have an hour's drive to uni tomorrow to listen through loudly.. and an hour back to repeat.. good times! [ more ]
Ducky I think so too. I've listened through twice tonight. I was a little worried that 18 tracks was a bit over the top but it doesn't feel long. [ more ]

The C4 website and BB
Lazybug That was all very well but I hated it when someone ruined the eviction result as they knew who'd been evicted thanks to DS and then posted who it was on the forum - some of us don't go onto DS and knew the evictions weren't 'live' as we were led to believe. I didn't look on the BBGF just before evictions as I knew someone would spoil it for me and lots of others. [ more ]
darloboy (Play The Game!) It was good weren't it Hyperstar . I used to watch the Eviction though lmao still. [ more ]

The catholic church, and it's reaction to the abuses in ireland.
Former Member Just wanting to say something about the horrendous physical and emotional abuse and neglect that some ops have rightly pointed out have been somewhat overlooked in this thread. Unfortunately, so much of this was,(and for some people still is,) believed to be a justifiable way of disciplining/punishing children for their 'wrong-doings' and teaching them 'right from wrong'. Then of course, there are those who get a personal 'kick' out of inflicting violence/emotional harm on those more... [ more ]
Former Member Well, yes and no...everyone has a choice imo: some will find a way to minimise/justify/defend what they are doing; some will attempt to divert their preferences into adult sexual activity,(including by play-acting/fantasy in adult relationships); some will fantasise in their, shall we say, solo, sexual activity (including through viewing 'child pornography') Guess the success rates of all of these attempts will vary depending on the individuals level of self-control, their opportunities for... [ more ]
Former Member No, it didn't read at all like being pro-abuse or anti-homosexuality. It's a very valid line of inquiry, I'd say. The consent of children, as people from groups like NAMBLA (I wonder if they still exist?) claim, is rubbish. We're paternal (as in paternalism rather than parental) towards children for a reason. I'm sure Mazzy can talk much better than me formally about child development but it's clear to me that children's minds go through stages of development as they gain reasoning and... [ more ]

There is a Thief in my garden...
Dirtyprettygirlthing I'm thinking of coaxing a pair of grouse to come and take refuge in our garden before shooting season... Hopefully more and more of our village foxes will move down into the more urban areas (I do see them walking down the streets quite often ) My biggest concern in our village atm is that we have a badger set. We DON'T have any cows.... so I am hoping they will leave the badgers alone. Is a different mind set though. [ more ]
Yellow Rose We lived in our last house for many years and had foxes at the bottom of the garden. I fed them every day of the year, every year would be new little cubs that were so sweet and played in the garden like puppies. The foxes trusted me and would come close, some nights I'd sit on the grass and they'd come and sit within a few feet of me. I used to leave toys for the cubs to play with. We had 3 cats and the foxes never bothered them, they just accepted they lived there as well. I felt very... [ more ]
Former Member It's an interconnected system. The Hunts, as I understand it anyway, take dead livestock off the farmers for free, thus saving them disposal money, and it provides meat for the hounds and permissions to go on their lands. They're all winners. Except the fox. [ more ]

Parents of teenagers appreciation society
Moomin My son borrowed the car yesterday to meet up with mates and go to a gig. I told him he could borrow it but it needed petrol. He said he'd get it on the way home, as he didn't want to go out stinking of petrol. OH and I get into the car this morning, pull out of the drive, and yes - you've guessed it, the fuel light comes on. [ more ]

Dog O Matic - would you use it?
Guest Yup, wisnae good. My dodgers hate getting their face and ears wet, they properly start to panic so the machine would be a major no no. The groomer who clips my two would bath them for 10 quid if I wanted, it’s too much hassle though taking them down there and then picking them back up just for a bath – I’d never be out the place (they’re springers so they’re prone to getting filthy!). My shower is walk in so it’s dead easy to just hose them down, no lifting in and out the bath. [ more ]
Former Member That's what struck me too. Poor little darlin with his wet paws against the glass, bug-eyed with fear, while that stupid bint stood casually leaning on the wall without a care in the world [ more ]

squiggle Hope its on again soon, you're in for a real treat watching this show. If I spot that its on I will post a thread. I have checked this week and none of the shows seem to feature this name. [ more ]
squiggle Yes it is Miss_S: and this little guy is always in pain and always smiling, I felt small after watching him. You just have to see how they made him the star for the demolition bit and also how they made everything easy and safe for him so he won't hurt himself again and he can be independent. Just lovely [ more ]

Jonathan Ross under fire again, for homophobic comments this time!
Cariad I'm perfectly relaxed thanks. My post was certainly not intended as a personal attack. Do you need a ladder to get down from that high horse? [ more ]
CheekyPixie Relax Cariad. People are entitled to their opinions. And just because they don't coincide with yours, and you don't like peoples' opinions, or are tiring of hearing them, and you think there are 'bigger fish to fry,' does not mean people cannot express themselves and give their honest opinions. This is a public message forum after all, so people are GOING to post opinions and views, and they should be allowed to do so, without being critisized for it, by people who do not like their... [ more ]
Cariad I'm getting so fed up with all this stuff... Aren't there bigger fish to fry right now? OK he gets paid a lot but I'm wondering how it compared with And & Dec for example ... If you don't like him turn over or turn off. There are plenty of things I find dire on TV but I accept my taste is not everyone's so I resign myself to generally puerile Saturday evening dross. Anyway ... just to present a little balance I wonder if anyone read this story? Jonathan Ross has given a Twitter user a... [ more ]

Laura BB8- Where did it go wrong?
stupidcupid She lay in bed slagging of another fat lazy hm who also liked to lay in bed(although for bb purposes she pretended to be a busy lizzie) The majority of people who actually work for a living were delighted to see the back of the pair of them. Lazy so and so sows. [ more ]
darloboy (Play The Game!) You got a point , best to forget about her now and hope she goes back to oblivion and disappears . [ more ]
Cold Sweat Well, i could just as easily call Laura some insulting names... but 2 years on, i really don't see the point in it. Chan won the eviction battle, and that is what counted at the time! [ more ]
