Soozy Woo When my sister in law got married a few years ago her chief bridesmaid was exceptional with all the prep. She hired a fabulous house with swimming pool for the night. Demantoid I love footie. I can't stand - and refuse to watch - all these so-called 'talent' shows the telly is clogged up with, though millions seem to like them. Yellow Rose Hubby loves football, I find it incredibly boring and it's on for sooooo long with all chat before the match and endless chat afterwards I'm sure it used to only be shown at the weekends and that was far too much but now it seems to be on every night on some channel or another. Soozy Woo I'm so glad that the news is positive and I really hope all's well. Although she say's she went four years without a mammogram and let it slide I had one at fifty ..................God only knows when I'll be called for another one ....................I'm NHS - dont have a private health scheme but I really dont think that on the NHS four years is considered to be letting it slip. Former Member It's pretty standard in most hospitals now i reckon that only a wedding band or bangle, and small stud earrings are permitted on the wards.. some dress codes even state that fob watches if worn must be inside a pocket. Makes perfect sense that she shouldn't be allowed a necklace, be it a religious symbol or not. [ more ]
~Lee~ There are hospitals here where some of the staff are nuns and wear a crucifix....To the best of my knowledge there's not been any incidents where either staff or patients were hurt. [ more ]
SazBomb Reference: I am sure that in this sort of case where the risk seems to be assessed as being a health hazard for the nurse in question, ie a patient could grab it and strangle her, this seems to be an over-protective attitude. She is a grown woman, she can assess the risk for herself. It's probably to stop them being sued as much as anything else... and as Growly said earlier, as a patient, I wouldn't appreciate having a nurse's necklace in my face/getting in the way when they were trying to... TiGi Oh I love my ipod, more so than any other gadget I have and I'm a gadget whore! I've downloaded many many free apps , there is literally hundreds to choose from. I've also paid for some that I wanted. I could not live without mine now. I was considering an iphone but I get bored of phones so easily I decided to have the ipod so I could change phones twice a year. I'm such a greedy cah [ more ]
Sheep in a Jeep Ive got the iphone, but my son has got the 8gb touch, he gets the some of the apps free the same as I do, just depends on what you want i guess. Depending on what you want on your ipod but I would say the 8gb is enough for just music. [ more ]

El Loro As a direct result of Thatcher's policies I stopped voting Conservtive back in the 80s and haven't voted for them since. I believe that her view that quality of life should be measured in terms of wealth, and that view still is pervasive in government, is responsible more than any other factor in the slow disintegration of society in the UK. Sexy_Kelly Well thats last shift done. I hated that job at times but god im gunna miss being right in the thick of it every weekend. Iv been there so long iv seen 2 owners come and go and about 20 bar staff. Gunna miss the girls. We work such a hard job you have bond to those you work with as it helps you get through the night and we have had some really really good laughs.
