I actually thought the reaction to her eviction was pretty harsh. I get that she annoyed people (by being happy) and probably wasn't expecting to be going but the fact she was balling her eyes out and being booed by the audience was tough to watch. Shame on them I say Sezer and Maxwell's eviction however [ more ]

I couldn't stand Saskia either Deman , Kemal made me left after Science and Maxwell had the argument about Maxwell accusing Science of trying to injure him by chucking the bin at him when it was wet and it slipped out his hand said ''well at least someone is wet tonight and it's not Saskia'' . Reference: I just can't find footie interesting, don't understand all the rules (That's exactly how I feel about tennis) The offside rule however is a lot more complex than portrayed here. Let us imagine a game between say Manchester United and the 'Boro. Rule 83b........If Christian Ronaldo receives the ball in an offside position but scores, the goal stands. The French are trying, bless'em, but we can see by the fact that most countries now sing in English (although Iceland used a tiny bit of French in their song) and the hosts spoke English throughout (I think one of them said a couple of sentences in French), that the most widely spoken and understood foreign language in Europe is English! I am also sorry for being upset...I'm not even from Malawi...I have no idea what goes on there. This is my friend's take on things (via a facebook thread). He is a Human Rights Lawyer based in Zambia (not far from Malawi) so I think he is more informed than me....Dr. Bingu wa Mutharika is the Malawian President. "Bingu wa Mutharika did try to understand the situation ... this was not about Gay rights it was about cultural imperialism .... people are arrested and ridiculed in the West for... [ more ]

I am, of course, delighted that Stephen and Tiwo have been released, but they're not out of the woods yet; there is a lot of homophobic sentiment in Malawi, and unless a 'safe house' can be found for them, their physical safety is very uncertain. There are calls for them to be offered asylum outside of Malawi, and enquiries are being made,but nothing is definite yet. This is a link to their report where they explain their views that Teletext having given a public broadcasting status were under an obligation to fulfill that obligation.
