Prometheus Reference: ven my cynical OH uttered a stifled 'awww' when he was in the diary room. 3 new HM's and what are we forcefed-
~Lee~ Reference: I know, all of HL, unbelievable The thing again is BB and their editing imo.... Strange they are reluctant to show him unfavourably in the HL show, all his drama yesterday must have been like manna from heaven for once they didn't have to work extra hard to piece it together in his favour. Dirtyprettygirlthing Reference: Its hardly worth joining a Union these days. there was no point in it for me.... I already knew, had already witnessed, discussions that used to go on between our Unison rep & management, behind the employees back! ahhh.. the management thing.. yeah, I hate to say it but you're right! However, I did have one boss who was extraordinary... he was my mentor... and had mentored many many other people too... he was an amazing manager. Shame he went and retired on me... leaving me... Jeggo (Ben`s Buddy/Member of JJ`s LS] DPT - I`m sorry to hear what you`ve been through, but, like you say, not many of us are prepared to be the one to challenge the big boys - this is how they win. This country is so corrupt, and its got worse since Maggie put paid to the Union`s powers. Its hardly worth joining a Union these days. Yes, they close ranks. It seems to me that once people get onto the management ladder they change. I`ve seen 3 people in our organisation, who originally worked at the `coal face` and were lovely... [ more ]

OT - Eastenders - Tonight's spoiler which we already know
El Loro And by now we know that what we assune is Denise's body has been retrieved from the canal by the police and has been identified by Lucas. There is no reason to suppose that it is not Denise not that we are shown her face as to show a corpse's face which had been in water for several hours would not be appropriate for pre-watershed television. No doubt Lucas will try to pretend that Denise killed herself but he is forgetting that he has made a serious error. Unless the police are... [ more ]

Spooky
El Loro About 18 years ago I was called down to the senior partner's office where I had worked for over 20 years to be told unexpectedly that I was being made redundant. I left his office, went back upstairs to my own office to find my girlfriend at the time had at that precise moment rang me so I told her what had happened. She probably only rang me one or twice over the years at the office during working hours, and I have no doubt whatsoever that somehow she had felt that something bad had... [ more ]

BB HL late tonight.. 10:30pm.
Kaytee Reference: I'm convinced if they had a set start time of 9pm their viewing figures would be waaay better. I don't think they care...it's the last one and viewing figures declining just proves to them that they were right to axe BB [ more ]
Cariad 10.30pm? 9pm is fine but a 10pm start is a killer for me when it finishes at 11.10pm. I know I sound like an old fart but I'm on the go from 6.30am and come 10pm on a school night I need to get to bed. I'm convinced if they had a set start time of 9pm their viewing figures would be waaay better. [ more ]

Former Member I have heard that Alice in Wonderland is rubbish. [ more ]
El Loro Moomin, I hope you enjoy The Losers. I should of course said "well known top flight actors" but I missed out the known bit as I was running late. Idris Elba certainly has the potential to become one, but as far as I know so far his main successes have been in television rather than film. I never saw The Wire, partially because of its daily scheduling which made it impossible for me, and its subject matter was not appealing to me, but I did see Luther where he gave a magnetic performance. [ more ]

Big Brother Live Feed Discussion thread
hyperstar Reference: Should have started this before you started your nonsense in the LUT hyper. And a second part update thread as you very well know is not required, in fact had you not ignored several requests to change the title of the LUT that you first started, another one need not have been started. But then you know all this. Are you purposefully trying to wind people up? It was the same thread. I done something called a title change [ more ]

Whose side are you on...JJ or Josie
Dirtyprettygirlthing Reference: Whose side are you on...JJ or Josie neither really.... I am just a spectator I prefer JJ, but don't mind Josie either... I felt a bit sorry for him on last nights highlights, but it hasn't sent me on a mission to bring down Josie. [ more ]
monkey13 Reference: I am not a JJ fan, one minute I like him the next I don't and want to smack him. Josie I have liked from the beggining, but after this have gone right off her. She lied to him just to wind him up and is behaving like a silly little girl. With friends like her, you certainly do not want enemies. One good thing is that she is not coming out of it looking particularly nice. On this occasion, I am on JJ's side. That's about how I feel Liverpoollass. Getting a bit sick of Josie's thick... JJ threatening to walk right now on LF unless Josie makes up with him

Liverpoollass Tbh, I didn't see his impersonation of Andrew so will reserve judgement until I have. But..... his impersonation of JJ and Mario is very funny. [ more ]
Demantoid Impersonations of people to their faces (like Ben's take on JJ and JJ's brilliant mimicking of Dave) can be funny and aren't always meant maliciously. But Ben's mocking of Andrew behind his back was spiteful... the poor lad had just had what he thought was a nice convo with him, only for Ben to go into the nest and start slagging him off to best pal Caoimhe. Glad to see Dave's blatant bid for airtime failed to make the highlights show..
Dirtyprettygirlthing yeah! I remember that night he was going on about his dream.... I didn't even have the satisfaction of saying "ah ha! knew it!" Cos he had been the odds on fave to win from the day he walked in the house! That BB was a good one... its one of the ones when I felt lost when it finished... yet when I really think about it there were so many bad things that went on.. the Golden Ticket farce, Nikki going back in, the suitcases being withheld (at the time I hated this... ) [ more ]
