This is the original Riverdance as performed in 1994 at the Eurovision interval when they were unknown. I have posted the one shown on Austrian television (which is the reason for the foriegn speakers at the beginning and the end) as the visual quality is substantially better than the alternative, particularly if you are watching on on the full screen. If you don't already know this, to watch the clip full screen, start playing the clip, then once the clip starts click on the picture again... [ more ]

I agree Eugene's I thought the pre-entry videos where they named their favourite or who they would nominate was a desperate measure and an unwelcome one. I get fed up of BB interfering to create confrontation. They'll do it quite well unaided thanks. [ more ]

As his selection for the house is more of a political one than a personality one, he doesn't seem to have much of an opinion one way or the other on the big topics of the day i.e. Iraq and Afghanistan. Andrew Stone laughed a lot at the antics of Andrew and Corin when they were mucking around in the rehearsal room, experimenting with different combinations and with very little pressure on them. But they were totally unable to re-create that performance later. It was one of those "in the moment" things and AS made a misjudgment - or at the least a guess. [ more ]

I would like to see the American format, where alliances are formed in the open and plots hatched.....and the 'put 'em somewhere else when they're evicted' until the end of the show, when they just sink back into obscurity whence they came. BB should be the show, not what the contestants can make on the back of it. And ditch BBLB and BBBM...complete rubbish [ more ]

i don't think them meeting at auditions has that much effect really. i think for innovations, that aren't darkly manipulative as they have been in previous years,have been good this year and means c4 may have finally learnt it's lesson, now it's too late,they started the decline of the show because of the control they wanted during bb7,in my opinion, and when they couldn't recover from the loss of faith from the viewers, they sorta washed their hands of bb and have been running it into the... I had the same phone call yesterday and when the lady (who was very difficult to understand especially as she was obviously reading from a script) said my computer was running slowly, I told her my computer was actually running well but she continued on her script regardless. I told her I had no problems with my computer, thanked her, said goodbye and hung up. Her behaviour when the new HM's were annoounced was excruiating. BB said to watch the plasma quietely and all I could hear was her screaming. She has to go this week. [ more ]
