Former Member Excellent rant Cockney chick. I agree so much with this. Eastenders is just dire now, and the worst soap on tv. (If not thwe worst programme!) Though I admit that we also watch it (sometimes) out of habit, (in the hope it will get better maybe.) and we have it on for background noise to as there is rarely anything else on. We really should stop watching it, because it is crap. But many people I know think its shit and yet still keep watching it LOL. it's mad aint it? Its really so bad now:... [ more ]

Wouldn't say I had any heroes as such but when I was very young I loved Donny Osmond, David Cassidy, and bizarrely, the lead singer of Sweet. As I got older I moved onto hunks like Nik Kershaw and Morten Harket . I also had a bit of a fixation with the late Princess Di - even getting the same hairstyle around 1982 . [ more ]

Yeah, i went on a semi stalking mission last Saturday but never saw him, saw some scenes being filmed and ate our way round Greenwich. Former Member I've just got back from a meal with some friends from work, and one of them was the person at Meridian Primary School who arranged for Johnny Depp to visit the school. We've spent all evening drooling over the photos of her with Mr Depp. She had him hidden away in her office at one point whilst the children were being moved up to the hall - and the silly woman let him out again I'm almost as jellus as I would have been if she'd had John McCririck hidden in the broom cupboard. Cariad And I'm not sure where the fancying thing comes from El Loro. Do loads of women fancy Mr Depp? I think he's at his most attractive as Captain Jack(and he is a lovely looking man I suppose) but I'd not say I fancied Captain Jack or Jonny Depp. More like I'd be attracted to having a bloody good time out on a jolly with him. Poolshark Reference: u been to goose fair poolie? Nah, I don't bother, it's really for kids and families, once you hit 18 you stop, funny thing is I live right near it, I could walk to it in 20 minutes, I've heard it's really expensive now, around £5 a ride! It's the biggest fair in Europe, they now have it on for 5 days (Wednesday to Sunday). [ more ]

Cariad People smoking in the street - especially first thing in the morning as I leave the station and they are so desperate for a fag...it makes me heave. I've often fancied spraying them liberally with Impulse or something as I hurry past to get in front of them just to see how they like being doused with an unwanted odour. And ketchup **shudders** And I LIKE that Ikea ad. It makes me awwww.... what can I say? I'm a cat person. [ more ]

This new Optical Broadband from BT?

kattymieoww MY provider is Orange ,they called last week trying to get me to upgrade my broadband.I told her that until I get cable etc there is no point.I can only get just under 2 MB.She said "Oh we've checked you can get 6.5" ,No I can't as I have copper wire cable going overhead to an old telegraph pole in the garden.I have checked the comp speed many times.Years ago the BT engineer who was fixing said cable checked for me.The distance from the exchange etc.Just under 2mb is it. Clumsycat they only put fibre optic to the box in the street.. then its the same copper wire to your hpome [ more ]
El Loro I assume that BT will, once the local exchange is upgraded will replace the telephone cabling to optical cabling from the exchange through to the houses into the phone sockets. That would explain why they are doing it in stages and it will take years to cover the whole country. [ more ]
