cockney-chick Reference: katty Cher is just plain awful. Yep she is. A crap performer and a nasty little bully. [ more ]
cockney-chick Reference: shizzle I can believe that they weren't best pleased when Trey-c popped her head round the door bet they thought more competition I can't stand Cher personally i think shes totally shit i cringe at the rapping is she going to do that every week? it reminds me of when Alesha Dixon in Mystique used to do it Well said Shizzle! longcat John's expressed his dislike of the wildcards does that make him a bully too? X FACTOR'S John Adeleye has admitted he didn't like having the four extra wildcard acts included in the competition - as it emerged he almost came to blows with one of the reinstated acts. Softly-spoken John had a heated rant at quirky Brazilian Wagner Fiuza-Carrilho - who was Louis Walsh's choice of axed acts invited back to the live shows - for his deodorant use and the pair had to be parted before things turned... Katie threatens to quit X Factor cos she is being bullied (by the public)
longcat Reference: She could have said no. Cher did say no to her outfit and was slated for being a diva. I don't think these girls can win. [ more ]
Moonbeams When we heard this on the radio yesterday myself and the sisterbeams said in unison 'ahh, see ya katie' she'll not be missed. [ more ]
Blizz'ard Reference: Blackpud Perhaps poor Katie was forced to wear feathers for eyelashes and had the umbrella welded to her hand by a horrid producer. [ more ]

Favourite John Lennon song?
RZB Reference: Cannot stand give peace a chance Now that is my fav, I know he wrote much better songs, but I've always like that one, Along with the crimbo one & Mind Games, but I'm not 100% if he wrote that. [ more ]
cologne 1 I'm not a fan, although it did obviously come as a shock when he was killed. He was too selfish for me and, listening to 'Darling Sean' the other day, he had no feeling for his first son and seemed to rub salt into the wound. [ more ]
Croctacus Yeah I much preferred George's stuff as well... Maybe Jealous Guy...Cannot stand give peace a chance which sounds more like a football chant than a song. [ more ]

Week two theme on the X factor is(spoiler)
Former Member Abba. Big band. Yep, finger on the pulse. [ more ]
RiverRock I don't like big band week when the artist do frank sinatra and the like, but I did enjoy alexandra doing candy man, one of the best big band performances. [ more ]
Karma_ Reference: Well if the likes of Big Band week and Abba week have been dropped, then I for one am delighted. I hate those themes, especially big band. Noooo! I LOVE Abba and Big Band week! It also showcases the versatility of the 'artists' (and I use that term loosely). [ more ]

Student tuition fees...
Karma_ Reference: I believe that the 3 or 4-year courses are necessary in order for students to be able to read around their subject and gain a more complete understanding of what they are studying. I am slightly overlapping courses but know it will take around 4-5 years to get my degree (if I get it). There are some undergrad students on my course who are doing 2 courses together to try and rush it and already they're struggling. [ more ]
PeterCat Reference: Most courses could be done in less than three 3/4 years they are currently at. They could be done in that time, but I'm not sure it's desirable. My OH has just completed a Graduate Diploma, which is a conversion course. It basically means that you have a degree in one subject but want to convert it to another without doing the full undergraduate thing all over again. What it meant was that he was, in effect, doing a 3-year degree in 18 months. It turned out to be a hell of a lot... [ more ]
Marguerita I did not have a lot of faith in the Libdems ..with the coalition I then thought perhaps they will keep the Tories in line, me thinks they chose the wrong party to go with and will pay the price with their voters .. [ more ]

Can you keep a secret?
Scotty Reference: Ann I always keep a secret, if I'm told not to divulge that is exactly what I do. Ditto. [ more ]
Rawky-Roo What you lot on about? Women are proper useless at keeping secrets You tell them to NOT SAY ANYTHING and 90% of the time they will. Men just forget that its meant to be a secret in the first place. Guaranteed it will be a casual chat and a man would just bring up the 'secret' without even realising it. A Woman will take someone to the side and sneakily whisper it to them [ more ]
Suzi-Q I can never remember what anyone has told me so I'm brilliant at keeping secrets. Just don't ask me where the keys are, I haven't a clue! [ more ]

Then some kind individual grassed up a load of us who were there under forum names and we were all banned so I'm just me now - with Veggieburger in the middle. Liverpoollass I quite enjoyed it. As for them being a couple? Hmmmm not sure about that. I still cannot see any chemistry between them or any real love. Yes they are affectionate but it looks to me just like mates. I felt sorry for him having to meet all her family - what a right bunch they seemed. [ more ]
Karma_ I suppose they both have their reasons for the whole debacle. She probably only wants him for his inheritance and cos she's so thick she makes him look clever which probably makes his little heart leap for joy. [ more ]

Karma_ I'm sure EE did that before, might have been when Ethel died? (can't remember who). But to be fair to try and do a montage of Billie would have posed a bit of a challenge, he wasn't that dominant a character (to put it politely!). [ more ]

Dame_Ann_Average I would decline and then your ass is covered, what's not said can't be proven [ more ]
Carnelian I agree, just declining is the easiest course to take. If you want to include the negative stuff you have to make sure it's pretty water tight rather than hear say gossip, emotive interpretations, proportionate or things that can be described as personality conflicts. From a personal point of view, if I was writing a reference of that type, I'd make sure the person it concerned had a copy. I was under the impression that HR departments mostly deal with this sort of thing as employers don't... [ more ]
