Never seen that coming...
Karma_ Reference: I think it was a rebound thing and self promoting for both of them. I could be wrong of course. Oh I think it was a rebound thing as well. She got involved too deep too fast, but I still think they both knew exactly what they were doing and how one party could benefit the other. I have never believed Alex was as into her as he made out, though. [ more ]
Karma_ God I'm so gonna sound like Choccy here (note: I do not, and never have, stacked calls for a living), but Katie Price (IMO) has made a shit load of money off the back of no redeemable talent and I've always said good luck to her because of that. From what I've seen of her, she knows it has been down to luck and good PR that has made her the money and she's open about that. While she may have a secret desire to be accepted by all, she doesn't elude that attitude and knows that a lot of people... [ more ]
Soozy Woo Reference: but who's to say that wasn't a major contribution to the arguments and ultimately, the break up? I Very true - it may well have been part of the problem. I don't know why though but - I doubt it. I think it was a rebound thing and self promoting for both of them. I could be wrong of course. [ more ]

what's the best night out you've had?
Garage Joe We have a night out in Hamburg at least once a year. Any one of 'em is my best night out. Take yer pick from getting pre-loaded in either of the cocktail bars several hundred feet above the harbour, Jazz cafe's, playing chess against a stranger in regency style reading rooms, pavement eating establishments, surreal organised tours around the red light district and shops which sell devices and things, breakfast at the fischmarkt and flohmarkts. [ more ]
Cagney I went to New York for the Millennium and it was AMAZING. Me and my mate went to the MTV party in Times Square and had free drink all night at the World (WWF Cafe) [ more ]

Twitter
brisket Me and a couple of friends follow each other, but we don't log into Twitter regularly, so it's a waste of time really. Much easier to speak on the phone or text. So it is mainly for following famous people and celebrities of various kinds. It's a self-publicity thing more than anything else. [ more ]
charlisock I don't have an account but I used their search feature for the student protest updates... and I like seeing what the (fictional) Queen tweets and the Archers' characters' "Twitters" are a laugh as well [ more ]

Dannii Minogue Autobiography
Soozy Woo Reference: I don't think that I would ever buy another comedian's book though. That Russell Brand one put me off for life. I'm just about to start Keef's book and then Sugar's Frank Skinners was the funniest autobiography that I've ever read - my ribs hurt with laughing. Not for the faint hearted though - very rude [ more ]
Marguerita I like Danni she has probably done more than Kylie in doing differerent things acting etc Kylie is known world wide because of her singing career, there is no way she is only famous off the back of Kylie just not as well known for all she has achieved in her life, she has been in showbiz since she was a child she was good in Home and Away she is a good actress I am going to buy her biography it should make a good read... [ more ]
Garage Joe Keef's book initially looks very interesting (if you were there) and good value for money compared to a lot of biogs n autobiogs I've read. [ more ]

This girl is about as original as a photocopy
Former Member Another pic of Cher's new 'image.' IMO she looks like an absolute utter twat. She doesn't look right, she doesn't look comfortable, the whole look is contrived to make her look edgy and cool , but she just looks pathetic and naff and looks like she got dressed in the dark. Who the HELL is her stylist? They need firing. And is it me or does she always have the weirdest look on her face? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvs...mi-6-inch-heels.html [ more ]
Carnelian To be fair, she looks nothing like Rihanna. Thanks Soozy Woo for reminding me of her, but she does indeed looks more like Bonnie Langford. [ more ]
Soozy Woo Reference: I didn't know Rihanna invented red curly hair. Who did Rihanna copy from? Mick Hucknall? Only one person can carry off red curls (ringlets ) IMO ................and that's Bonnie Langford AKA Violet Elizabeth Bott! [ more ]

stupidcupid Good luck to them. I hope she has the girl she wants. I think they come across as quite a happy tight knit family who happen to to make a living in the public eye. She does come across as the pouting diva in her photos but when I've seen her in interviews about them I can see that she's got a great sense of humour and I quite like her. [ more ]

Ebay Feedback
Former Member LOL that is gross! Stains on bikini bottoms! URGH! I also used to sell on ebay a lot. Up to about 1.5 to 2 years ago... some months I would sell £100 of stuff a month, and sometimes £50 of stuff. But I stopped in mid 2008. I did actually get over 2000 feedback. I did get just one negative around 2005, and that was from someone who gave me one because the DVD I sold them didn't have an inlay sleeve when I 'said it was new.' It WAS new, but simply never had one in it. I was fuming but ebay... [ more ]

Is it right to have every Bristol man DNA tested?
Former Member The amount of information the Government have on us already is pretty scary, your NI number gives so much information, moreso when you have kids and you even now have to give it on a prescription (in Scotland anyway) If you buy online with a credit card thats traceable, a store clubcard holds the stuff you buy. Having a mobile lets people know where you are, your IP address, gives information....the list is endless ... [ more ]
machel it has been done before, quite recent but i can't remember the details, i would agree to a national database - remember stefan kitchco (sp) ? [ more ]
Mount Olympus *Olly* Reference: DNA matching is not as straightforward as many people seem to think. It is not 100% accurate, and mistakes can be made. isn't that why DNA evidence alone is not enough for a conviction? sounds like they are testing close circles and seems natural to widen them further if they have no joy? am pretty sure the cost of testing every male is prohibitive and therefore not the first port of call.. as for having my DNA on record.. I really wouldn't care to be honest.. am pretty sure in... [ more ]

Blizz'ard It might be a complete mess, but maybe the authorities are too busy locking kids up in Detention Centres. This is an extract from a Channel 4 documentary about kids we lock up, whilst trying to deport them and their families back to countries where they will be persecuted, arrested, tortured and possibly killed. Sam quits EE over cot death
Karma_ Wow Sparkles you've really got an EE bee in your bonnet ain't ya [ more ]
Former Member I agree Demantoid. I think EE used to be good with a few good characters and memorable characters, but its gone downhill in the last couple of years. Shame really. Maybe it will pick up again, but I got so sick of it's daft inconsistent storylines and how unrealistic and downright daft it was, that I quit watching. [ more ]
Demantoid I don't watch EastEnders because it's relentlessly depressing and grim. This storyline vindicates my stance, I reckon! Gruesome. [ more ]

Touchy music teachers
brisket I worry about ballet class. How on earth, I wonder, can my position be corrected if my teacher cannot touch me. I may never become a world class dancer. Super - thanks for uncovering the videos giving advice to teachers. After viewing I must say I remain utterly unconvinced. I never knew that amazingly dramatic improvement could be made simply by being stared at! Deep in my heart of hearts (no, not so deep actually) my gut tells me that not being touched is very negative. [ more ]
Former Member Reference: I knew it went on with some P.E. teachers but have never heard of music teachers doing it. There's plenty Karma...If you are a teacher with a motivation to sexually offend against children then it makes sense to choose to teach a subject like music or PE where the boundaries re touching are more blurred, you have increased opportunities for 1:1contact, work away from the classroom, 'extra-curricular' activities and trips/overnight stays etc. BTW, I'm not saying by a v v long way... Terror Threat Announced.
Yellow Rose Karma I think the UK's Intelligence Services are extremely good - from what we know or have been told through the media when people have been arrested before another dreadful account can take place. It's just my curiosity as to what may be presently known by them about an assumed attack in London, if they know that I'd like to hope they know more and could stop it if it's true. [ more ]
Karma_ Don't know if it's as simple as that, YR. I know there were a spate of arrests recently in connection with terrorism and apparently, a lot more goes on than we know and a lot of realistic threats get discovered before any terrorist activity comes to fruition. Seems that whatever's gone on at MI6 it's been deemed serious enough to make the public aware, and I suppose their viewpoint could be that the more eyes and ears they have on alert the better? [ more ]
Yellow Rose The US has false flags and so does the UK, it takes the focus away from other stories. I'm curious as to why they think an attack is imminent in London and not elsewhere in the uk. If their intelligence has led them to believe that then surely they'd know who would carry it out and arrest them beforehand. [ more ]

How can this be allowed
Dirtyprettygirlthing Reference: Karms Sometimes ads from previous issues are used as 'fillers' if there are not enough new ads to fill the page (and the publisher doesn't want to use house ads promoting the paper's site cos it makes the competitors think they're not doing well). I wish I had known this at the time.... I would have changed the contact tel. no. to the telesales bird at the paper... she could deal with the calls. The other LSO's used to get the right hump at having to take all the extra calls. [ more ]
Karma_ Keep your chin up Aimee, I've always gone by the notion that if you don't get a job or one passes you by it's because it wasn't right for you. The right one will come along x Have you contacted agencies? Or the company that you wanted to work for - might be worth dropping them a line (to the Human Resources department if there are no direct contact details - call and ask for their contact e-mail) - saying how keen you were on applying for the position and how you could have applied your... [ more ]
Prometheus Aimee it's standard practice in most big companies to advertise jobs they already know will be filled internally. They are obliged by law to advertise the position which seems insane when they, we and Auntie Flo's cousin and the bloke you just met in the pub all know it's already been taken. Stupidest law ever, well one of them anyway. [ more ]
