RexiI just love that film. Anyone who has ever worked in a high pressured sales environment will experience real angst whilst watching it .... it pains me every time!! [ more ]
El LoroThe soundtrack for the music by Francis Lai for Un Homme et une Femme. The first piece of music is the famous theme. That's followed by "Aujourd'hui C'est Toi" with vocals first, then without which is where the Panorama theme comes from (3 minutes 19 seconds in) [ more ]
SaintNice one @Senora Reyes I think it'd been hinted at quite a lot that there is a drive for it to return and Rylan, Emma and Marcus are all on board if it happens If they said they were moving on then that would suggest they know it's over but they've hinted heavily that they're not wanting to let it go Reassuring comments [ more ]
Eugene's LairBelow is BB's description of how voting on tomorrow's Final will work. I've posted this before, and you've probably already seen the tweet at the side of this page, but I thought it best to capture it anyway... Big Brother UK @ bbuk Voting will freeze at 9pm before the finale begins when the housemates finishing in fourth and third places will be decided. The finale starts at 10pm and once fourth and third places have been announced at the top of the show, the vote will then re-open to... [ more ]
Eugene's LairJust a reminder that tonight's (Sun) HL show is on C5 at 9pm. Thankfully a more realistic start time for what may well be the last BB HL show ever, although annoyingly (for me, anyway), it crosses "The Little Drummer Girl" on BBC1... [ more ]
RexiI agree Eugene. I was listening to someone on the radio yesterday saying that he had lost a whole month’s wages on a FOBT, in a matter of minutes. Imagine how his poor wife must have felt ... I expect she would have liked the bookies to have acted a little more responsibly. [ more ]
El LoroAfter the first week of the series I thought the Hampshire Whites were going to win but they struggled when they came back. In the second week I looked at the families on the BBC media centre site and when I saw the photo of the Mistry family I had a feeling that they were going to be real contenders: https://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacen...kingshowdown2/mistry [ more ]
SaintI don't really watch it for the food Idyllic - sumptuous - relaxed … it seems like all is right with the world I would eat healthier, take more exercise, be happier, drink prosecco, take random late night walks in the moonlight. [ more ]
Eugene's LairI've changed the thread's title: as it's now been almost a week since it was created, I really don't think we need the spoiler warning anymore! [ more ]

Eugene's Lair7th Eviction Betting Odds: [Courtesy of BetFred] Tomasz 2/9 Favourite to go; Akeem 3/1; Cian 16/1 [A post on DS is quoting an even bigger divide of Tomasz 1/5; Akeem 4/1, but I don’t know the source.] This is broadly in agreement with most online polls, but I’m slightly surprised at the gap between Tomasz and Akeem. The ThisIsBigBrother poll has them virtually tied! With the lower numbers voting nowadays, I still think this will be extremely close. The only certainty seems to be that Cian’s ... [ more ]
BazThanks Eugene Tactical voting is my fear too ....if Lewis fans decide to put the boot in Akeem could go [ more ]
Enthusiastic ContrafibularitiesThere was something about the parents that did/does not ring true. I may be completely wrong but all I ever got from them is a sense that they are cold, especially the mother. I would like the truth to be known. [ more ]
Enthusiastic ContrafibularitiesThis is quite an interesting (after the fact) read for me. You would have thought that as C5 have gone some way in giving us a better BB this year, they would have recognised that the viewing public are not stupid, and can see through their meddlings. It's clear to me that they just can't help themselves, and despite falling viewing figures still think behind the scenes manipulation is what the GBP want. I think this BB could end up being ranked as one of the better C5 offerings. I've not... [ more ]
KayteeI agree Eugene and for once I didn't miss the poll. it smells of a massive fix to keep the Slug and Lewis in the game at Isabella's expense needless to say went for evict not save [ more ]
BazI agree , it’s a total fix Eugene Especially as they didn’t announce it until the knew who had won the game changer ! I voted twice ....from two devices ...and voted to keep VtE ! My fear is that... the way it’s all been set up on Friday ...we could end up losing Akeem [ more ]
Enthusiastic ContrafibularitiesGood going Dame I too still play, usually Saturday's and Sunday's whilst having a coffee. The other customers must wonder what I am up to when I let out a cry as I get stuck and the game ends. [ more ]

Yogi19We all feel guilt about things we did or didn’t do. The important thing is to learn from our mistakes and make better choices in the future. [ more ]
SaintThey say live without regret - that's impossible - we all have it Since stopping work three yrs ago I've had time to ponder life a little and how silly it all is. We pressure ourselves and then it's Sunday where we suddenly don't have to 'meet targets' - bizarre. Then it's Monday … and we do. Daft when you think. My future? A care free life is my priority [ more ]
Dame_Ann_AverageI have many regrets Velvet, I could have, should have done it better...it would eat you up if you dwelt on it [ more ]
