I grew up with dogs as pets and so did my sons. If you are going to mix children with dogs, then choosing a breed that is good with children and giving proper training is imperative. It is much easier to introduce a puppy into a family of children, than it is to introduce a baby to a dog that is already established in a household. (Imo). We got our first golden retriever as an eight week old puppy, when my youngest son was 14 months old. They grew up together and their bond was unbreakable. [ more ]

For me eastenders is the best of the soaps at this moment. I only watch that and hollyoaks but even hollyoaks is shite nowadays - it's just kind of habit that I watch it! Bit of a heads up: “Is Amanda Knox Guilty?” – BBC3, 9pm, Monday (repeated 8pm Wednesday). I was wary of recommending this, because most of the (English-speaking) media coverage of the Meredith Kercher murder trial has been truly awful, and although the BBC’s coverage hasn’t been the worst, it hasn’t exactly been amongst the best either.
