Former Member hi progs. I'd skin their behinds if I had anything to do with them! [ more ]
Proggers Hi Onetoo. Absolutely agree - sadly its a sign of the times. The yoof, or even so-called grown-ups, of today are bored and this is what passes as entertainment. [ more ]

A warning about scam emails from the Inland Revenue
El Loro One of my clients has just rung me to say he has received an email from the Revenue about a refund. He was a bit suspicious and I confirmed that it was a scam. Raggy♥Doll Hullo I just snuck a peak in here and saw your message Belle Is the osteopathy for colic? How was it? How is the baby sleeping lately? I'm getting on okay really, have had a couple of convo's with DH lately about how disappointed I've felt in his family since the baby was born (they live locally and rarely see her whereas mine travel here and back in a day, 4 hours each way, just for a hold of her) Anyway, it has helped because he says he's not disappointed as he never expected much from... I've decided
Cigarettes & Alcohol capitals are over-rated. I always find it difficult to post in capitals, although Paris was fun, you just could not type in it. I did try Madrid too, but the Rioja just made typing impossible, Rome, well the gelato was too irresistable so no typing there either. I promise to try and type in Berlin next time i am passing, but i am sure the snitchel will distract me too. [ more ]

Mike Strutter Belle I really laffed at that above ...my Purdey is the same ... she gets *jellus* when Im online and not stroking her so keeps trying to sit on the keyboard ...lol [ more ]
Belle i have 2 cats. polly rarely makes a sound. she is the strong silent (shit-scared) type. sukey has been trained to meow. my husband taught her to do it when we first had her with her sister mags (before mags died and we took pogs in). My husband regrets training her to meow for her supper. she is as persistent as the baby. And incidentally since we had the baby the volume of her meows has substantially increased; it's her competitive streak i think. Often she sits at the living room door,... [ more ]

Microsoft Office Question
El Loro Microsoft have announced that there will be a lightweight online free version of Office when office 2010 launches next year. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/8148969.stm [ more ]
Belle as a spreadsheet genius, i wouldn't recommend open office as a substitute if you are going to use it loads. functionality is broadly similar, but there's a few quirks if you are a serious office user. however it is free which is always nice. [ more ]
El Loro If you are using Office 2003 and try to open a 2007 file, if you are connected to the internet, you will be asked if you want to download a compatability pack, Select Yes and the pack should be downloaded and installed. 2007 files will now be automatically converted when you open them. When you close the file you will need to save it to preserve the conversion. Here's a link to the Microsoft support document which goes into more detail. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/933347 [ more ]

Former Member I found one in one of my magazines Yogi. I wanted something with moon/stars because I wanted to do it in yellows (unisex and also the colour I know they are doing the room). It's a bunny sleeping on a crescent mood, it's cute but not to cutsie and not too bit and I can leave the rabbit's clothes till I know who I am sewing it for. I should get the leaving card done this weekend then I'll start it, I've still got a few weeks. [ more ]

A New Career !!
serignhugrf Word of warning to anyone fancying becoming a driving instructor. Course cost around £3000 and less than 30% of people get through. And because of companies like Red, there are so many driving instructors now, that they struggle to make a living. [ more ]
Proggers Red seem to be advertising quite a lot on TV...I always think when a company advertises a bit too much then the product/service might not be great. Just like the Spaniard who is trying to flog those Golf resort apartments. [ more ]
Baby Bunny How about driving instructor? Not with that "Red" place though – heard stuff about them not living up to expectations. Or, how about being an undertaker? My brother became one a couple of years ago and he really, sounds awful but for want of a better word, loves it. No 2 days the same. Of course you have to have an empathy with people and I think you do Mike. [ more ]

List of unusual deaths
Kev Makes me think of Marty McFly in Back to the Future when he turns the volume up on his guitar amp. [ more ]
Mike Strutter Heres what a *friend* at last Xmas Eve tried ... he turned off the electric, unplugged the fuses, and then went to the tap wet his hand, and then stuck his fist there ... and then flicked on the power ... lets just say the kick /throwback was superb Buckeroo Bonziiiiii .....Im told ..lol [ more ]
Kev 1601: Tycho Brahe, according to legend, died of complications resulting from a strained bladder at a banquet. It would have been extremely bad etiquette to leave the table before the meal was finished, so he stayed until he became fatally ill. This version of events has since been brought into question as other causes of death (murder by Johannes Kepler, suicide, and mercury poisoning among others) have come to the fore. 'Supersizers' could have ended very differently for Giles. [ more ]
