To those who think Labours gonna get a kicking come the next election...
Former Member Except he also predicted that the inherent contradictions in capitalism would result in the working class rising up, overthrowing the regime, and taking control of the means of production. Engels saw this as throwing off a false consciousness. The problem is, we don't really have much of a false consciousness, the means of production is not owned by a separate and distinct class from the working class, and we've bought into the advantages of capitalism. In short, Marx had a great... [ more ]

Free Thinking I'm not sure exactly who you would compare him to...but maybe Roberto from BB6. He also got temperamental over quite small things. Outside the house it wouldn't surprise me if he was ok but inside he finds things difficult. But that's why I suppose he was selected, although I wonder if this experience will do him much good personally. [ more ]

captain marbles There'd be far too much of a fuss, first from voters who might have changed their voting patterns to remove two that they want out and secondly from the bookies who would never have offered such generous odds on Marcus if they thought that he could go too. [ more ]

I am not excited about next week re ex housemates
paace I never knew it was exHM's they're bringing back. That is just the stupidest move ever by BB who it seems are bankrupt of any good ideas now. I don't want to see ANY ex HM's back. They should just have brought one new face to replace Saffina. [ more ]
mandala Big Brother Online have once again provided some great information on what Big Brother has in store for us viewers and the housemates next week. Read on if you want to know what’s going down… First up comes from information from IBB about which “iconic” housemates are returning to take part in tasks… On Monday BB1’s Nasty Nick is to return to compete in an assault course while BB2’s bubble will return to take part in a sweetcorn eating contest, fun! On Tuesday an as yet unknown BB3 housemate... [ more ]

idea for punishement for siavash and noreen next week
Extremely Fluffy Fluffy Thing Sounds reasonable enough. [ more ]
Extremely Fluffy Fluffy Thing As far as I understand it, the HMs will make nominations as usual, except on Sunday now. The 2 or more with the most nominations will be up for eviction, the Housemates will think it's for a permanent eviction, but the GBP will know it's to put someone in the appartment. The rest of the Housemates will then be told to choose which of the 'EXs' they want to join them in the house. So WE choose (from those nominated) who goes in the appartment and THEY (the HMs) choose who goes in the house. [ more ]
Twee Surgeon fluffy, thanks for that information but I'm not sure I understand it all. If, say, Marcus is chosen by the public to go out next week (with us knowing that the votes are for him to go in the apartment), will we be voting for the ex-HM of our choice to join Marcus, or do the current HMs choose which ex-HM goes in? [ more ]
