kattymieoww In Scotland ,women get smear tests starting at age 20.My niece had slight abnormal readings at 23,she then went on for Colonoscopy checkup, camera and further cell scrapes,no immediate action needed thankfully. She did have to attend every six months for smears for four years. The last two years have been Normal readings, she received a letter stating she is now back on the usual three year smear tests.she was really pleased. She had no symptoms at all,if she was in England etc......scary. [ more ]
Yellow Rose My life was saved by early diagnosis. I'd had a routine test and was shocked and numbed when the surgery phoned to give me the result. Yellow Rose Apologies EC for not having watched your link yet but when I saw the title personal thoughts came to mind. I've watched the news channels, three main stories are the airplane disaster, Clarkson and 1D. Clarkson and 1D could be thinking it's a bad day for them, and for their fans. My thoughts since the news broke has been focused on the families and friends who've lost loved ones in such a horrific way, could there be any worse day for them?absolutely not!! Carnelian Osborne reeled off a load of half truths and cheery-picked statistical measures. All this pathetic diversions about 1p off a pint fails to mention that housing and rental costs are spiralling. Comic Relief - Face the Funny
Carnelian They need to ship out the old bores like Dawn French, Rowan Atkinson and Lenny Henry. Not that they will, it's always been Lenny Henry's gig, despite no one finding him funny for over 20 years. Davina McCall has never been funny in the least, so why she's got the gig is beyond me. It would be nice if they pitched some of the comedy above 11 year olds too. Comic Relief is about as funny as being kicked in the head. [ more ]
Carnelian After watching boring old Mr Bean I gave it rest. Each to their own but I tuned in and heard some excruciatingly awful singing from a bloke on a piano accompanied by another I assume was Sam Smith. The bloke on the piano was singing in that style the X Factor loves so much, which I personally can't stand. I seriously couldn't stand it and had to switch over. [ more ]
