FAO. 'Being Human' / Pre-Raph / Period Drama Fans
jamieboy i liked the werewolf better than the vamp [ more ]
Twee Surgeon I have googled 'Miranda' as I didn't know it. It is beautiful sub. I had never seen it before. ALW has got some of the lady lying in the lake pics, but I'm not sure of the name of the artist. I'm not really au fait with the Pre-Raf period, so watching the prog tomorrow will educate me. I would love to see JRs place in the Lake District. I bet it's spectacular. [ more ]
Twee Surgeon Lady Caroline Lamb! Another quote from the said Lady about Byron .. 'that pale face is my destiny'. How true that was. I also like the period you mentioned. Andrew Lloyd Webber owns quite a few of the pre-Raf paintings. And John Ruskin was Oscar Wilde's tutor. So many good things all connected lol. [ more ]

Get Well Soon Cologne & Bagel
cologne 1 It was kind of the other way round for me. My daughter called me to say not to come anywhere near them because my granddaughter's best friend came down with it. 2 hrs later it started. I had been with the kids for 2 days because it was their last week at primary and lots of stuff was going on. So now at least my daughter can help me when I need it. There's always a light at the end of the tunnel. [ more ]
Bagel Queen thanks again all...I am feeling lots better now but still having to rest a lot and am still in captivity till Wednesday... theres quite a bit about this swine flu that is not in the open and I feel extremely sorry for GPs who have to assess a paitent before giving out the tamiflu, I believe the Goverment are putting money before our health [ more ]
Sheep in a Jeep The one girl that has got it here in my home town, her dad is a taxi driver and still working. Now to me that is just silly cos he could have it a full 24 hours before showing symptoms. Think how many people he ferries about in a day. [ more ]

Why has Bea attached herself to Freddie?
CaptVimes Oh come on nobody needs to help get Noirin up she was up last week and shes doing her best to get herself up again this week. The issue here is with Freddie and none of them want to fall on the sword. Kenneth is the most desperate because he knows he is in trouble here. All this was started by Kenneth and Tom, they should have discussed right at the beginning if they were going to all attempt it or not because in Kenneths own words "do you realise how hard this task is". [ more ]
Former Member Wouldn't any new hm with half a brain who has been watching the show make friends with Freddie And she is being 'friendly' with everyone else too,(apart from Evil Ken), and she does have q a lot in common with Freddie, and she has probably been 'handpicked' by BB for him anyway? [ more ]
Twee Surgeon I suppose time will reveal Bea's character, as it has most of the HMs this year. We have to wait and see. It's a bit early to judge imo. I am just happy that Freddie has a pal in the house, someone who most likely will not mock his accent, or make fun of him. He has been on his own for seven weeks, most of that time spent being mocked and laughed at. If Bea is gameplaying, it will be revealed in due course. It won't affect Freddie in any way. He is on the way to the winning post (with... [ more ]

Marcus is a seriously insecure disturbed individual!
china how on earth (song) do you know that? if i were you i'd get myself down to the nearest copshop and file a report on something that hasnt happened let us know how long it takes before the police stop laughing [ more ]
Free Thinking Yet another troll trying to post about a FM instead of a HM. [ more ]
LGS he does show some distubing behaviour, but not threatening in anyway like a stalker would be, but then he is being monitered in the house. I agree at the end of last nights programme he regressed into childlike behaviour, and wasn't talking about the house when on about Tom pissing on his territory, he was clearly on about Noirin. Sophie the **** Stirrer
Lister_of_Smeg the way i see Sophie is she doesnt fit in in any group shes not considerd cool enough to join Lisas group full time and shes not weird enough to join Freddie Siavash and Marcuss group shes an outsider really in that house who gets by by staying out of the arguments by watching the 2 groups go at each other all the time . [ more ]
cologne 1 I don't think Sophie has the mental capacity for intrigue, she was tactless, aided and abetted by that onerous Charlie, pure and simple. [ more ]
Cold Sweat The same Freddie that stirred endlessly against Kris and Sophie with his "fake kake fake" claims - and tried to get them into trouble with Big Brother via the Fake romance rule. [ more ]

Pumping and sniffing it under the duvet.
Scotty Correct. I watched it too. There`s nothing like a good made up story though. [ more ]
shakes you could hear him fart on my telly. So it was farts. [ more ]
Mathematics No, it was oil. I watched the entire thing. Big Brother refused to change the duvet until the official duvet washing day. Due to the new housemates coming in, somebody had to use the oily duvet. Rodrigo, being the culprit, agreed to use it. When David was out of the bedroom, Rodrigo and Charlie swapped the duvet onto David's bed as a joke. David crawled into bed but didn't notice the smell. Rodrigo and Charlie started laughing and told David to smell the duvet. David reacted but laughed, and... [ more ]

40 years ago today the moon landings.....
Blackpudlian I was 16 and remember how anxious I was when the astronauts were due to lift off from the surface of the moon, as if it hadn't worked they would have been stranded there and their oxygen would have run out. After the take off we had the anxiety of the astronauts re-entry into the earth's atmosphere and the possibility of them burning up if the heat shields didn't work. Then when the astronauts landed they had to go into quarantine in case they brought back micro-organisms that could wipe out... [ more ]
rusticana I watched every available minute - I used to make a flask of coffee and sandwiches - get in the armchair and watch all night if it was on. I especially remember watching round the clock when Apollo 13 was in danger. It was brilliant I was obsessed. [ more ]

Bea says she's not doing the task?
Felix123 I agree other nominees could be up for eviction as well. Has Ken spoiled his chances of going after Lisa, or is Lisa the one to go no matter what? gives a Freddie hmmph! [ more ]
rusticana Yes I think they are - BB didn't say that it would be the five newbies alone - just that they would be up for eviction. [ more ]
CaptVimes I think if they lose are original HMs that are nominated still up against them? If so that would be a far better strategy. As you say he immediately said you realise how difficult this will be right up front. [ more ]

This is a serious question.... honest
♥PinkBabe1966♥The Angel under the tree! The way I look at it is that if music is good, I'll listen to it, any genre, though I have always liked dance/R'n'B music. I like thing from early Beatles to Emminem. But must say my favourtie time for music was the early '80's, some fantastic music then that has lasted the test of time, also love Motown, especially '60's stuff. [ more ]
machel easy listening is how i would describe it, but it varies in its choices, i usually listen during the daytime and there are songs i know and latest releases. "more variety" is one of its catchphrases [ more ]
Croctacus Heart is pretty crap...they seem to have a quite small playlist and they play the same stuff over and over. We used to have it on in the office at work till people protested about it. [ more ]

Icannot post a reply
Twee Surgeon I had quite a few probs the other day with posting messages. I kept losing the text. It happened a few times yesterday as well but I find that if I hit the refresh button it takes me back to my typed message. Then I can re-send. Saves typing it all again. This prob seems to have happened within the last week and quite a few FMs are experiencing it. [ more ]

Ken being a wanker
Blizz'ard It could have been his university interviews, when he was pursuing degrees? [ more ]
langster Exactly! He has already proved himself to be devoid of intelligence, charisma, compassion or respect. I mean dissing Karly to her face before she left the house, then again BADLY in the diary room on his first visit. The again to her mates the day after and then to follow it up by sleezing after and chasing after her friends in the house. The guy is a complete and utter arsehole and his ego definitely exceeds his intelligence! [ more ]
Blizz'ard Maybe he noticed Marcus' eyebrow flickering, when they sat at the table! [ more ]

Bagel Queen until you have had swine flu, you dont really know what to expect..I was diagnosed Friday, tho I think it was in my system before then and Saturday I was completely floored with it and I dont drink, smoke and walk a lot so I was lucky to just get one horrendous day and not more..this flu is like no other, it attacks your system, even your teeth, so if you re worried, ring up the helpline...swineflu affects everyone in a different way, I am glad I got a 2nd opinion and I am glad I made a big...
