Cariad Sorry. I don't approach the show that way. Very rarely do I even get as far as liking or disliking a housemate. For me they are like lab rats and I like watching their interaction regardless of who they are or how they got there. Those who fall by the wayside are IMO entirely at liberty to make as much hard cash out of the experience as they can. Lord knows I would. To be frank I much preferred the show before it became a meal ticket to idiotic media celebrity. But since that is what it now... [ more ]

Free Thinking She was only as interesting as the men she latched onto, on her own she would be nothing. She wasn't that fun, her conversation not that interesting, not that funny. The Isaac introduction was done to help her story remember. Tom was clearly introduced to flirt with her and challenge Marcus also. In other words Endemol helped make her the story much more than she did. [ more ]

Eugene's Lair You know, everyone seems to have been expecting a higher %age, but I was actually expecting it lower - 60% was certainly my higher limit. Yes, Noirin's final betting odds were very short, but practically all of the online polls were very close, and most of them had Noirin to stay until last night. Remember that there were probably a lot of votes for Marcus early in the week... [ more ]

Free Thinking I agree that Siavash to some of the audience was needed so that they could actually see what Noirin was about. It's really sad that they needed that, but I suppose they couldn't give a shit about other men if they didn't consider them beautiful enough for the rather ugly person (ugly inside for sure) that Noirin was. Darthhoob this lady is in surrey, but she has traveled (or gets others to travel) to places further afield. even ireland! i dont know her personally..but she is a member of a rat forum i go on and she is truely amazing and inspirational. the dogs she has helped seemed to have no bloody hope at all and she takes them on regardless and they turn full circle....most of the dogs she takes on have behavioural problems (it seems). she saved many a dog from death row. she may not be able to help but it's... Free Thinking I knew this would be an ironic thread somehow. She was rather enthusiastic for someone she always nominates. "I want Marcus" I don't understand why some seem to spell Marcus with a K, I thought the British spelling was always with a C. Is there a famous Markus with a K that makes some spell it like that? Or is it such a lesser known name that people just think phonetically and plump for a K? [ more ]
Cold Sweat I think it needs to be pointed out that after the initial suggestion by Bea they went in to support Marcus - and not to slate Noirin. My reading of the situation was that Noirin suddenly has the love of her life - and Marcus is still very much the loner. Good on them for giving him a little boost - regardless of what Charlie and Hira think. [ more ]
