Moonie It appears I am lucky because I have only had a handful of nuisance calls in the 18 months or so I have had this mobile In the other hand, I have at least 3 a day on my landline. Some as late as 8-30pm If I want something I will go out and pursue it or look online. I don't need some moron ring me up on the off chance [ more ]
Jen-Star My 13yr old just got a call saying they had heard she'd been in an accident that wasn't her fault I used to be in tele-sales (double glazing) so i understand people are trying to earn a living but the sheer amount of pre recorded PPI and Insurance calls from over seas is ridiculous... I actually don't have my home phone plugged in any more.... and I never give anyone I don't actually know my mobile number unless it's emergency contact number for kids etc [ more ]
Saint Ages ago we called the operator and we were given a number to a service called "Caller Privacy" Within days our cold calls almost stopped. This was ages ago though [ more ]

pirate1111 this sounds very bad but if we didnt send so much money to countries, that dont need it or it goes to a regime that uses it for personal gain if we didnt have to support people that lie their way into the country & by european law we have to help them maybe, just maybe, our own disabled (and i am VERY aware that there are some who would rather have benefits than work-dont worry, it hasnt passed me by) and GENUINE people who need assistance wouldnt have their benefits cut [ more ]

Eugene's Lair I don't think any of that will come as a surprise to anyone. The non-BBC channels effectively gave up on proper children's programming years ago, and while the BBC is still committed its programmes are effectively ghettoized on specific childrens channels. There are still some good original dramas being produced, but they're unquestionably fewer. Interestingly, I read only this week that "Humans" is C4's highest-rating original drama in decades , so it's not like there isn't a demand out ... [ more ]
El Loro A note on the number of hours for dramas I mentioned. The figures included in the data annexe (which exclude soaps) show that the main reduction is due to ITV who in 2008 had 320 hours and by 2014 111 hours. [ more ]
