For my part, I found the Star Trek 'universe' from The Next Generation deathly dull. That goes for the Deep Space 9 and Voyager too. The series with the Quantum Leap bloke carried over the same weaknesses. I didn't have much time for the 'story arcs' nor the space opera aspect. Enthusiastic Contrafibularities I suppose it could be levelled at many different series, films and series spin offs from films that they are just money making exercises. I guess ultimately it will come down to whether they have a good story to tell. If they do (and given the advances in TV and film making) then it could be quite spectacular. It's funny I guess that I have a similar opinion of soaps. They have all done birth, death, marriage, murder, affairs, sexuality, disaster and business issues (to name a few) to death. [ more ]

Carnelian Had Shingles about 10 years ago and the woman at NHS direct suggested it as a possibility but unlikely as I was really young to get it. Horribly painful and apparently, when it was diagnosed, I was at the point where it was well-advanced but where medication was just about useful, but not as useful as it would have been had I been diagnosed earlier.
