harpers island tonight..
Getthekettleon Soooooooo what did you all think? looks like it could have a decent story line and plenty of gore, but,is it just a little bit to Americano? Im gonna keep going though,it looks promising. PS. Mr Kettle was sound asleep within 3 minutes of me turning it on ( the tv i mean) [ more ]

Guest Twitter. Has a website ever been so aptly named? [ more ]
Latecomer I don`t know if Siavash is on there too, but there is someone pretending to be him. Apparently even Marcus replied to him until someone called Emma, warned him about it. (Hope that makes sense, as I`m not a twitterer ) Here`s the link... http://twitter.com/emmaK67 [ more ]
littleleicesterfox You type @hisusername in your message and it'll message him directly For example, if I want to message Grace Dent and Marcus I'd type 'Oi why haven't @gracedent and @irrespresibleDH got it on yet?' and that would message both of them directly and probably earn me some well-deserved abuse [ more ]

Angel Just watched on 4 On Demand .... I only caught the last 15 mins last night ... but wanted to see the whole thing. I am sure this programme will have raised mixed feelings. I can understand why some feel it to be wholly inappropriate ... but the families concerned obviously got some comfort from sharing their memories of that day. [ more ]

So where does BB10 rate with you?
Bolton Fan Top 3: BB3 BB6 BB2 Middle 3: BB10 BB5 BB7 Bottom 3: BB4 BB8 BB9 Didn't watch BB1 [ more ]
kimota It had some great hms and no-one I rated as totally horrible. On the other hand the main group that formed around Lisa was far too powerful and even when it looked like things were shifting in the Muskateers favour, the newbies changed all that! Overall though, I would rate it as one of my favourites, despite the mostly crappy tasks and lack of LF! [ more ]
old hippy guy I saw BB1 didnt watch again till BB5 watched em all from then on and,for ME, BB10 was the WORST, only made watchable by the IDH when he went I stopped watching cause watching the bunch that were left was WORSE than watching paint dry. IF there is no LF next year I wont watch ONE second of it, [ more ]

Soozy Woo As far as I'm aware this forum is being moved over lock stock and barrell shortly. I'm under the impression it'll be a similar set up to this. Until it's moved it's not there. hope I'm right cos I'm not keen on it as it stands at the mo. [ more ]

Marcus Bentley
Moomin I like Marcus Bentley - it wouldn't be the same without him. [ more ]
*BB* Exactly! Thats what I pointed out. His narration is certainly NOT pointless and utterly superfluous! There are many many thousands of people who are visually impaired and enjoy television programmes. We cannot ALL see what is going on. Are you suggesting visually impaired people wouldn't be interested in Big Brother? [ more ]
Barolo I like his accent, but the narraton is pointless and utterly superfluous. As Brisket said, we can all see what's going on - the commentary would only be useful to the visually impaired! [ more ]

Karma_ I always watch anything to do with 9/11. I cant even begin to comprehend how one would feel in that situation, knowing you're going to die but with no time to say goodbye properly. What must go through your head? Regrets? Anger? Makes my stomach turn when I see the footage of those poor people trapped and desperate for help, but with the world watching, knowing there was nothing that could be done and it was only a matter of time. I also thought about parents and partners who would have... [ more ]

Question re: Freddie & Marcus eviction ?
Baz I think he just got a little too sure that he wasn't going to be evicted, and made the mistake of saying so. [ more ]
Free Thinking I can't believe how people want to twist the comment Marcus made to make it seem like the cocksure remark of Freddie. Marcus made that remark in anger and in the context of being with people who were also angry with Siavash. Freddie made the comment about being certain of surviving eviction calmly and several times in the house and in the presence of Marcus as well. There is no evidence that Marcus was certain he would survive in an eviction vote against Siavash. As for Marcus beating... [ more ]

Films you would like to see remade.
guku The only one I can think of is Cronenbergs remake of The Fly, although the original is still satisfyingly creepy. I'd like Peter Jackson to remake The Keep since Micheal Mann refuses to release a proper cut of his version. Still a great film though. [ more ]
Sarum I couldn't help myself...When I read what you said about Jackie Chan playing Miyagi, I starting saying "no, no, NO..." to myself...and then Frank Doberman just popped into my head [ more ]
BROXI Is there any particular films you thought were bad that could maybe remade much better nowadays. It does seem pointless remaking films that are classics, like The Wizard of OZ, Gone With The Wind, A Wonderful Life etc. [ more ]

OT contraception myths
Former Member The garlic would work with me but only if the bloke I was with had eaten it. that would be him banished to the settee for the night when my two boys were toddlers, we used to call them the contraceptives because once you'd experienced them you'd never have kids They have grown up into lovely adults mind [ more ]

charmer now THERES your conspiracy theory [ more ]
Former Member There is not enough money in the world that would ever make me suggest that Tom Hanks should be given a starring role in anything other than a snuff movie about auto erotic asphyxiation or summat. I cannot stand him. In fact that's a conspiracy that bears investigation. How the bleeding hell did he win 1 Oscar let alone how ever many he has won? Something stinks somewhere [ more ]

*BB* I agree with this. For those who are finding it diffult to either get over there or to find their way around the new place, there needs to be a support thread right here. [ more ]
Extremely Fluffy Fluffy Thing The mods supplied us with support forums here and there's plenty of stuff about Live Cloud there and folk can ask questions there. Sophie Reade's striptease video

Soozy Woo I trained, I qualified, I changed my mind. The thing is - we have our own business - my husband does the practical stuff I do the bookkeeping ........although it's not a full time thing I really and truly would never have coped juggling the two. Former Member ooooo missis! [ more ]
Former Member Hi there, Maybe teaching in further education would be the thing for him? He could do a bit of research into the local colleges to see which ones deliver the subject areas he's qulaified/ experienced in and send in a CV - often , if you do get offered work with colleges , it's temporary/ part-time contracts ( often very part time! ) but can often lead to more work, and colleges will offer teacher training to staff as CPD while in service. Worth a shot! Good luck with it! [ more ]
