BBC recieve complaints about Nick Griffiths being bullied
Blizz'ard I lurve Cassetteboy! [ more ]
Leccy Hahahaha [ more ]
Former Member Oh I don't think so. I think you're seeing what you want to see. That article is pretty circumspect. Griffin crucified himself. This bit of the article was interesting: "She was, like everyone else I spoke to, keen to stress that she was not racist but added: "Something has got to be done about immigration in this country. We are becoming extremely overpopulated," citing examples of people from other countries apparently gaining unfair advantages in benefits and housing ." There's where... [ more ]

subatomic partygirl Reference: stonks 6785 Forum PostsToday at 01:48 (Edited: ) I always wanted to be a hotdog seller when I was a child, I still do for some strange reason.... I went to a baseball game in Detroit once, Stonksy. Twas the longest three weeks of my life. Looking forward to a hotdog every hour or so was the only thing that kept me going. My only other sports venue experience was a rugby match (night game); I counted how many fags were lit by the crowd to keep spirits up. Ooooh, I tell a lie; I... [ more ]

What nasty habits does your OH have?
♥PinkBabe1966♥The Angel under the tree! Oh and he NEVER puts a new loo roll on the holder, leaves it for me to do. When he makes a drink, he leaves the work surface covered in sugar, milk, tea and coffee. Watches F1 and NFL and then tries to explain to me what is going on, when I just could not care less. Talks all the way through SCD if he is at home. Still, I have as many bad habits, I suppose and he is lovely in his own way. [ more ]
Former Member Darth, that's what Finn does. Every time me hubby sneezes the poor kid hits the ceiling I wouldn't mind but Finn's not behind the door either with the loud sneezes....he's given me a few heart attacks [ more ]

Is this right?
Blizz'ard "No,no, m'lud! Not the Euros!!" [ more ]
Former Member Perhaps this is where the criminal justice system is going wrong? Instead of talking in years of incarceration, the judge should highlight the loss of privileges? "I sentence you to a period covering 2 general elections, 3 local council elections, and possibly, without good behaviour, a European election." [ more ]
Blizz'ard Reference: Daniel What about the obviously less emotive example of, say, people imprisioned for not paying their council tax? Should they have the right to vote? Or is it thieves - yes, killers - no, MP prisoners convicted of expenses fraud - no, other fraudsters - yes, and so on? Well, you'd hope that the length of sentence would reflect the severity of the crime, and hence determine how many General Elections etc. that you miss out on. [ more ]

The greediest man of all time
El Loro Reference: Why is he suing? The original story reads: Chiscolm in August sued the largest U.S. bank and its board, demanding that "1,784 billion, trillion dollars" be deposited into his account the next day. He also demanded an additional $200,164,000, court papers show. Attempts to reach Chiscolm were unsuccessful. A Bank of America spokesman declined to comment. "Incomprehensible," U.S. District Judge Denny Chin said in a brief order released Thursday in Manhattan federal court. "He seems... [ more ]

Your thoughts on this please ......a tricky one!
Former Member Reference: I'm disabled and I feel extremely hurt by some of the comments in this thread. I feel as though I should be hidden away somewhere and not allowed in the same area as "normal" folk. Not all disabilities are the same. If you mean "mentally handicapped" then say it If you mean paraplegic then say it If you mean deaf then say it or if you mean one of the countless other disabilities, then say it. WE ARE NOT ALL THE SAME> we arepeople who happen to have one or more disabilities. [ more ]

BE HONEST
Garage Joe I willn't use the term Thatcherite because it annoys Danjay. So let's say that since '79 we have suffered market economy fans in government. I believe that it was the evil one herself who said that one can't buck the market. Hence we will get economic migrants. Some would say this is a good thing; we need lotsa young tax paying workers to support the rest of us as we age, we are thus able to poach all the best brains from elsewhere. Some would say it's a bad thing for the reasons Griffin and... [ more ]

Former Member Reference: The British traditions...well I'm not entirely sure what he means when he says that (morris dancing?)...coz hasn't our culture always been one more based on ideas and ingenuity and all that? Which by it's nature does evolve... Well, quite. As people, we're nothing like what we were even 50 years ago. Some core ideas, such as liberalism, have been around for 300 years or so while at the same time others, like the divine right of kings, died out. The artefacts of colonialism in our... [ more ]

Good to see taxpayers money well spent.....
The Devil In Diamante Me too Deman the current lot have got us into this mess, maybe it's time to make way for newbies ;nod: eager to learn and less greedy As long as the Banks are making millions, I don't think they give a shit about us living on the breadline.... [ more ]
Demantoid Reference: Devil I recently read about a Bank trying to justify paying out larges bonuses again this year, their reason for justifying these bonuses was it is to ensure their staff stay with them and don't move to another bank.....nice.... They keep trying to justify it by claiming all the "best people" will leave the country for jobs abroad otherwise. If this current shower are the "best", I'd be happy for them to bugger off, and let others have their jobs for less pay. They couldn't do any... [ more ]

Who's gonna watch Question Time tonight then?
Eugene's Lair Reference suzybean Today at 01:00: Good for you, but Straw's father did have an influence on him. He too refused to join his school military corps as a matter of conscience. He has every right to express his gratitude to the fallen soldiers (as I also feel that is correct) but his political rhetoric was stimied by Griffin. That's not the way it came across to me. Rather than thinking Griffin was making a valid rhetorical point, many of the audience clearly thought his comments were... [ more ]

when should I let my cat go ?
Former Member I don't envy your position Cherish but as the others have said, you'll know when the time is right [ more ]
Lacey Cherish, the little cat will look in your eyes and you will know when he wants to go. xxx This made me cry too, I had to take my childhood cat to be put down when she was 18, she was riddled with cancer. I also had to say goodbye to my mums cat who was 16 a few years ago, my mum said she just knew she needed to take her because her little eyes told her she wanted to go to heaven. [ more ]
Katerina Hugs to you, Cherish. I've had to make this decision three times in the last three years....they've been the hardest decisions I've ever had to make, but every time I've known in my heart it was the right one, even though it has broken my heart to do it. I really feel for you x [ more ]
