Soozy Woo My two little grandsons were here today ...............I cooked them a savoury pancake with bacon, sausage and tomato followed by another one with mint choc chip ice cream. Lottery syndicates and publicity.
Former Member On the odd occasion I buy a ticket I take it into the village shop for them to check, so, if I were to win, it wouldn't matter a jot at that stage if I wanted publicity or not, everyone would know within 5 mins!......But hey ho, will happily face that problem if it ever comes to it! Ashley Cole is on pay as you go
Garage Joe Reference: If you're in a good/loving relationship why jeapodise it by getting involved with a two bit tart ..........are they that vain that they can't see that it's all gonna end up on the front pages of a smutty red top? I don't believe that the spoilt footballers concerned are capable of a good/loving relationship. I think that the mechanism lies in the area of a certain kind of grasping woman who wants to snare herself a rich bloke who will shower her in handbags, shoes, and other... [ more ]
Soozy Woo Reference: nothing now they've got another england player to rip to bits........i reckon it's rooney or ferdinand next.... They're all fair game aren't they? What's to worry about if you've nothing to hide ...all these ludicrously overpaid sportsmen and 'celebrities'( eg. Vernon Kate) are an open target for gold diggers who want to make a few bob. Is it plausable that people are simply born evil ?
Soozy Woo Reference: I know a family near me, lovely people and they have two sons, one is hardworking, family orientated and has never been in any sort of trouble in his life, the other one is a out and out thief, drug taker and is currently in prison serving a sentence for conspiracy to import drugs. Whilst I see what you're saying I think that once drugs come into the equation it's a whole different ball game. Drugs can alter the whole mindset of a person (obviously there is a chemical/clinical... [ more ]
♥PinkBabe1966♥The Angel under the tree! I think for what it is worth, that there is something to be said about some being born with the gene to commit evil things and it is not always to do with upbringing. I know a family near me, lovely people and they have two sons, one is hardworking, family orientated and has never been in any sort of trouble in his life, the other one is a out and out thief, drug taker and is currently in prison serving a sentence for conspiracy to import drugs. Same parents, same upbringing yet one is doing... [ more ]
Soozy Woo Reference: If we agree some people have a natural gift for althletics, art or music then why do we struggle to accept that some will have a natural leaning towards cruelty and aggression? But do we all agree that? I think people who show talent are recognised and nurtured in these areas and that is why some become great. Children/babies are not born knowing right from wrong. It is something they need to be taught .....if they are never told and their parents or close role models have no... [ more ]

kattymieoww It's amazing really, some folk on the net think they are only talking to one person etc, certain websites are open to millions.Just don't go there. because folk are typing in the comfort of their home etc, they assume it's all safe and nice.. They wouldn't dream of posting a ten foot high billboard stating,,"Hi I'm blah blah and I like this" etc. That would be more private than the net. [ more ]

brisket "Somebody with a fresh outlook. Something we haven't seen before." I think they'll be lucky. I bet they will be more of the same - people wanting celebrity fame. "Go compare, go compare.."
Cosmopolitan Reference: Ad companies have cracked onto the 'Cadbury Effect'. 'Totally random' / bizarre may bemuse, disconcert, evoke rage....but it certainly makes you remember it.Not sure whether when you remember the product you want to buy it though.. Agree. And just to be awkward, I'd say it was Cadbury who cottoned on to that from watching the mobile phone industry. The early 3 ads.....remember the Chinese cowboys with the giant jellyfish? Orange did the floating baby.. Love it or loathe it,... [ more ]
Karma_ A bit like the gorilla playing the drums on the Cadbury's Dairy Milk ad? It didn't make me want to go out and buy a bar either One ad I thought was pure genius was the T-mobile one last year when they were in a London station (cant remember which one) and this music comes on and 1 by 1 people started dancing (a pre-choreographed routine with dancers and members of the public in on it). Absolutely brilliant I prefer adverts to programmes most of the time, cos the ones I like I wonder where... [ more ]

SazBomb "An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" as Ghandi said [ more ]
SazBomb Reference: And can I just say this...? I understand absolutely the desire for revenge and retribution. An eye for an eye etc... But that is why the law has to be above emotion. Without exception. Which is why I find the idea of capital punishment absolutely abhorrent. Don't misunderstand me - if anyone harmed my child I would want to harm them severely over a long period of time and I would relish every second. I'd not want to kill them - I'm an aetheist, when you're dead you're dead. But... [ more ]

Did anyone see the Gordon Brown Life Stories last night?
Baz Reference: These PR stunts from whichever politician of any colour.....just turn me off them more and more Ditto..... And quite frankly I don't think anything GB said at this stage of the game could alter the negative opinion I have built up of him over the years. [ more ]
Cariad As I understand it Mrs B - being a PR bod and a good mate of Piers - was behind the interview. I don't think he does himself any favours in this day and age by being so naturally reticent about his private life. Although I understand why - he's a politician, not some celebrity anxious to have every nit and belmish spread across the pages of Hello. And compare him with Tone - charm personified which deflected totally from the fact that he is an utter tit. Gordon may be a tit as well but at... [ more ]
Yellow Rose I also thought it was a good interview, he didn't back down from any of the questions, it was a mixture of humour, sad and happy times in his life and his dedication to politics. It was interesting to learn more about him as the man from his early life onwards, it was more interesting than I thought it would be. [ more ]

The Real Hustle!
Crunchy Nuts Reference: Although maybe it's my warped mind, but surely it just gives people ideas on how to get away with scams? It's apparently to raise awareness so that people dont get caught out. In someways it will, but I tend to think more along your lines, it just tells everyone how to get away with it. [ more ]
