Karma_ I love clothes and fashion and shoes and Vogue and all that gubbins But it's so easy to utilise something you already have in the wardrobe if you want to keep in trend. I do think some people go completely OTT with it but that's their choice I suppose. What's great now though is where more designers are now working with chains it makes their stuff even more accessible at a reasonable price, while still getting the quality. Karma_ Reference: There's not much that is original nowadays - most of it is copied from the past. That's how it goes though, it always comes back again, just usually with a twist. Key colours are the same, that's why I'll never understand these net-a-porter women with more money than sense who throw everything out just to keep up with what Vogue say is on trend. PAYG which i use use at the mo. Karma_ Johnsons baby lotion seems to have changed in the last couple of years though. I have used it since I was about 11 and still use it as a cleanser/make-up remover every day, but have also noticed it is a lot more potent than it used to be and I can't understand why. [ more ]

El Loro Some really old school music: Arthur Rubinstein playing Liszt' Liebestraum number 3: The original version of Kurt Weill's Mack the Knife (sound only). It is sung by Kurt Weill in 1928, hence the poor quality. It is of course in German. And even older. From 1927 Al Jolson in The Jazz Singer - the very first sound film. So not to give offence, this is not the infamous scene where he is blacked up, which may have been acceptable then but is totally unacceptable now. The quality is poor. [ more ]

Yellow Rose I enjoyed his C4 shows - and he had some great guests - but not really feeling it as yet with the night time one, different format is probably the difference. Have never been interested in Michael Ball, not my kind of music which is mainly what he's known for, well to me anyway. Have had the show on in the background in the afternoon while doing chores and waiting for my next show I watch. He seems to refer to himself quite a lot in an almost egotistic way. [ more ]

They are stopping hockey and sports like that in schools, competitivie sports upsets the kiddie winkles, so says the do gooders......how did we ever survive the disappointment before in finishing last in the egg and spoon race.?. And our nanny state are also thinking of banning glass containers to hold pints of ber in pubs in favour of plastic containers because it's less dangerous. [ more ]
