Eastenders - Billie's death...
Kaffs Reference: It is possible to down a bottle of vodka in one without being sick (after a nights drinking) and without passing out or having a hangover the next day :ninja don't watch Easties but making a mental note never to go drinking with Croc. [ more ]
Karma_ I'm sure EE did that before, might have been when Ethel died? (can't remember who). But to be fair to try and do a montage of Billie would have posed a bit of a challenge, he wasn't that dominant a character (to put it politely!). [ more ]
Croctacus Neighbours always used to do a nice montage of pictures over the years during the closing titles whenever a character died. [ more ]

Dame_Ann_Average I would decline and then your ass is covered, what's not said can't be proven [ more ]
Carnelian I agree, just declining is the easiest course to take. If you want to include the negative stuff you have to make sure it's pretty water tight rather than hear say gossip, emotive interpretations, proportionate or things that can be described as personality conflicts. From a personal point of view, if I was writing a reference of that type, I'd make sure the person it concerned had a copy. I was under the impression that HR departments mostly deal with this sort of thing as employers don't... [ more ]

OMG PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!
Former Member Excellent rant Cockney chick. I agree so much with this. Eastenders is just dire now, and the worst soap on tv. (If not thwe worst programme!) Though I admit that we also watch it (sometimes) out of habit, (in the hope it will get better maybe.) and we have it on for background noise to as there is rarely anything else on. We really should stop watching it, because it is crap. But many people I know think its shit and yet still keep watching it LOL. it's mad aint it? Its really so bad now:... [ more ]

I'll do a better critique later, because so many things stand out. Essentially though. The return of the business, Don's seeming decline whilst pulling the rabbit out of the hat at the end...and the young pup Pete's ascendancy. And a near punch-up between Pete and Roger! Who would have predicted that! Scrub that. [ more ]

Former Member Blizzie, that song took me right back - haven't heard that in god knows how many years. Wouldn't say I had any heroes as such but when I was very young I loved Donny Osmond, David Cassidy, and bizarrely, the lead singer of Sweet. As I got older I moved onto hunks like Nik Kershaw and Morten Harket . I also had a bit of a fixation with the late Princess Di - even getting the same hairstyle around 1982 . [ more ]

Pirate Johnny Depp makes surprise school visit
Croctacus Reference: cariad He was filming Pirates there wasn't he so not too far to travel I guess but a nice thought (and good publicity) all the same. Yeah, i went on a semi stalking mission last Saturday but never saw him, saw some scenes being filmed and ate our way round Greenwich. Thats the school I told you about Cariad where my kids learned the sign language. [ more ]
Former Member I've just got back from a meal with some friends from work, and one of them was the person at Meridian Primary School who arranged for Johnny Depp to visit the school. We've spent all evening drooling over the photos of her with Mr Depp. She had him hidden away in her office at one point whilst the children were being moved up to the hall - and the silly woman let him out again I'm almost as jellus as I would have been if she'd had John McCririck hidden in the broom cupboard. [ more ]
Cariad And I'm not sure where the fancying thing comes from El Loro. Do loads of women fancy Mr Depp? I think he's at his most attractive as Captain Jack(and he is a lovely looking man I suppose) but I'd not say I fancied Captain Jack or Jonny Depp. More like I'd be attracted to having a bloody good time out on a jolly with him. What do I know? I prefer Tim Burton. [ more ]

Ack!!! I've got to go to a 60's/70's theme night tomorrow.
Cosmopolitan Reference: Burt Reynolds type mustache No cheating, Rawks - you should grow one. No Playgirl centre spreads though, ok! Best you practice those dance mooooooooooooooves if you're going to own that dancefloor. And just think, for every John Travolta there'll be a JT fan, so.......... make sure you don't superglue that 'tache too firmly. Have a great night. x [ more ]
Rawky-Roo Nah, not planning on wearing anything 60's/70's. Although the party is in Southampton so I may pull into a nearby town and pick up a Burt Reynolds type mustache Just realised that there is going to be so many people dressed up as John Travolta which makes them think they can dance like him.....its gonna be a living nightmare [ more ]
Cosmopolitan Rumbled........! So, what are you going to wear (apart from a shirt, natch). Are you going to embrace the 70's or 60's..? And will there be photographic evidence? PS. don't forget your Brut or Hai Karate after shave. [ more ]
