Soozy Woo Reference: What are wallies? Big gherkins ................that's what we called them in Croydon ......................same too when I moved to Harrow. They've never heard of the ooooop North though where I am now! [ more ]
Karma_ What are wallies? I'm thinking silly people but you can't keep people under your counter so it must be summat else Maybe it's a regional thing, but the price of cod has gone through the roof here. Saying that though, I have just recalculated and you could squeeze a sausage in batter into that tenner with the cod and chips and picked onion. [ more ]
Soozy Woo Reference: Hey don't knock a tenner! It'd still buy you a cod and chips and a small pickled onion, We never pay for our fish and chips - it's the family business - and in our shop you could get large haddock and chips twice for 8.20 mushy peas included. Pickled onions and wallies are kept under the counter for the more discerning customer [ more ]

El Loro Uninstalling Husband 1.0 can be very difficult and time consuming, particularly when trying to upgrade or change to a different package. Expert help may be required. Warning over anti-virus cold calls to UK internet users
El Loro Reference: Dame_Iva_Cracker She's tried blocking their number but for some reason she's had difficulty with her phone supplier to do this. The number they generally use is either witheld, out of area, international, or an impossible number like 0000000000. [ more ]
El Loro I was visiting one of my clients when they had the hoax phone call saying they had found a virus on their computer. He then had great pleasure in telling them that as they didn't have internet access that the caller was trying to con him and rang off. There is no way in which Microsoft are going to ring people telling them that they have found a virus on their computer for the simple reason that Microsoft are in the business of making money - why would they spend money on setting up an... Garage Joe Reference: I have hated the song with a passion since Mrs Joe first noticed and remarked after hearing the dirge like crap on Waterloo road. Just seen Prince William on the news
cologne 1 James Hewitt. Godawful person. [ more ]
Prometheus Prince William. Leader of Men. No not really. If he wants to lead this country give him a gun and put him out in the thick of the action and fighting for glory. Big noses fail increasingly to impress me in any military situation particularly when sported by war-dodging nonces like our future king. [ more ]
Karma_ Is William the ginger one? I always get confused. The older one with the teeth like a horse looks like a horse and the ginger one used to look like that ginger fella Diana had a leg over with (can't remember his name). Help Needed With Computer Virus ....
Soozy Woo Whenever anything like that has happened to me in the past I always turn off in the hope that things will be 'all better' when I turn on again. I'm not very techie minded at all ...............unfortunately a little rest never cured the problem. These viruses are nasty little feckers. Holidays dashed?
Hobbes The best thing about camping holidays was NOT listening to Mum and Dad through canvas walls. ***sniggers*** . Butlins and Pontins were for posh gits! [ more ]
Demantoid Reference: I've never seen the appeal of holiday camps - to me they are too much like organised, enforced fun Exactly Our two weeks every summer in Cornwall were probably cheaper than a week in a holiday camp - our tent was a big dirty white canvas beer tent with wooden tentpegs and blankets for dividing the "rooms". We spent hardly any money while we were there, cooked our own grub on a Gaz stove and took our own orange squash and sarnies to the beach. But I always had the time of my life... [ more ]
Former Member I've never been to any of these places but as has been said, times have changed. Decades ago these places were full to the brim as families could not afford to travel abroad. I've never seen the appeal of holiday camps - to me they are too much like organised, enforced fun . It's the demise of the seaside holiday resorts that sadden me. As a child we would always travel to Blackpool, Scarborough, Eastbourne and such like [ more ]
