El Loro There is a house near where I live which every year puts up a large quantity of Christmas decorations covering the outside of the house and throughout the front garden apart from the driveway. They had started putting it up two weeks ago, and I think it was just about completed by last weekend. However, although spectacular, it's not quite in the same league as another house a couple of miles away who is a local prizewinner for their displays. They do this to raise money for charity. [ more ]
Marguerita I never see chrismas decorations ouside were I live with the exception of some christmas light around a tree in their garden, but if I am being honest I love if I am in the car and see them outside other peoples houses [ more ]

Former Member Reference: Yogi I watch Nigella's programmes but I'm no Domestic Godess I bet you're way more of one than her the cheating bint. SazBomb Reference: Don't remind me - my friend's daughter is getting married next year. My friend is single, and has asked if I will go with her. Former Member Too True Cologne. Thing is though I don't know if I hate it more that they are just doing their own thing without a care in the world for the embarrassment of themselves and their party etc or whether I hated New Labour more with their dictatorial 'on-message' robotlike behaviour. Pets for Christmas..
Marguerita It is so irresponsible to give a pet for christmas but we know it still happens, I hate any form of animal cruelty some people should never be allowed to own pets they have no clue how to look after animals [ more ]
Yogi19 Reference: His eyes light up when you say your pet is insured, cos then he can suggest all sorts of treatment because he knows the insurance company will pay up. God knows what vets charge in central London. Yep, there are definitely some vets who bump up the charges when they know the animal is insured. I think vets are like doctors, in as much as, you need to find one you have confidence in. My dog is too precious to be treated by someone who sees her as a money-making exercise, rather... [ more ]
Liverpoollass Makes me so mad Yogi. Unfortunately, we only have 2 vets in the area I live and both charge more or less the same. I know everyone has to earn a living, but there is earning a living and ripping people off by charging astronomical prices. When I mentioned it to my vet, he waffled on about how he has to pass increases on to us because everything has gone up - but he is the one driving around is an expensive car which I am paying for How he can justify over £6 for dispensing a prescription I...
