Bolton Fan Michelle Collins has recently appeared in Bolton in our local theatre in a play about Fred Dibnah, playing the part of his wife. Reading the review, her northern accent was pretty good so she may not necessarily be playing the part as a southerner. squiggle I can remember my shock as a child to see on the TV this old man getting off a plane and being told it was Charlie Chaplin and thinking 'it can't be' it looked nothing like the little man in the films. [ more ]
El Loro That was good, Sezit. Here's three clips from his films. This is from The Gold Rush made in 1925. In 1942 Chaplin re-released this with his own dialogue (it's him doing the talking during this clip) and his own musical score. This one is from City Lights with the final scenes. Former Member I recently went through the curtain saga i spent about 2 months trailing round every curtain shop in the county!!!! Its a blooming nightmare so i feel your pain! It really is easy to take your curtains up though issy, dont be scared of it. Just buy them and hang them in place for a week or so, so that any creases fall out. Then sit on the floor and fold them under a cm or so off the floor and pin there. Then when its all pinned just tack stitch them up from behind. Job done! ! ! [ more ]

A three line whip means everyone has to turn up. I remember ambulances bringing extremely ill MPs to vote in the past. [ more ]
