Better than being a miner?
kattymieoww I'll have to buy a new multi pack of batteries for my remote.I'm burning them up flicking away from channels when the word "Wedding" pops on the screen.Such dross. [ more ]
machel i come from a mining family - all worked very hard, some in dangerous situations - and although they would not have liked their children to work in the pits it was not because they wanted them to "better" themselves but because they knew how little was thought of them and their safety. social climbing seems to be a national pastime and the toadying that goes on around the royals makes me [ more ]

Any plans for the Easter weekend?
Soozy Woo I had my grandsons from 8.30 yesterday morning until 8.30 pm. Did loads of other stuff - number 1 grandson stayed over and stayed up late and is still in his bed snoozing . A quiet day today and all the family for lunch tomorrow - I considered a BBQ but... The Ten O Clock Live Show - Thursday nights. Ch 4
Carnelian Yes, OP, I've seen it. Lauren Laverne has been a singer in short lived indie band Kenickie a DJ for years and presented many arts and music themed programs. I find it quite amusing and at times very funny although it is very patchy. Mitchell and Brooker's angry man opinions... [ more ]
