Cosmopolitan Yep, start new threads! As has been said, the HL thread is a general chit-chat about various things that are happening as they appear on the edited show. The Twitter thread is much more detailed and explanatory (thank goodness!) and is where the real info is listed - it's a pity there's no live feed though. If you watch the edited main show there should be a few bits and pieces to pick the bones out of, so make a thread and discuss whatever it is that's bugging/annoying/interesting to you. [ more ]

Former Member I think the artefacts should be given back to Britain, it was a British ship after all . But i gather they are owned by the salvage company that retrieved them. I hope they are bought my some museum or other, so that they can be shown, but no doubt they will remain in the US, unless we buy them of course, which is highly unlikely! [ more ]

Enthusiastic Contrafibularities What an excellent idea. I think keeping this collection together and being available to the public is the right thing to do. The wreck itself is deteriorating and as many artifacts as possible need rescuing for future generations. I am a little bemused as to why people may be uneasy about this announcement, after all if you look at the items in museums across the world there are possibly items on display which have real controversy surrounding them.
