Being nostalgic........I used to LOVE the chocolate covered crisps that were around when I was a kid, they were limited edition and only on sale for a few months but they were yummmmm.  Oh and Discos with the wee sachet of flavouring.

I have just found out Spar still do Burger Bites....

my closest Spar is on the high street in town...    I am planning a Burger Bite town mission!

and... choc covered crisps -  they sooo work!!    I improvise & have ready salted crisps with alternate mouth fulls of choc!   (not often, obviously...   just when I am on a junk food frenzy)

You gotta admit though, they don't taste nearly as nice as they used to - Get's me when they say 'New Improved flavour' ..when infact it isn't!

C&O are pants now!

I take crisps more seriously than most people and therefore take an exploratory approach to the whole crisps issue. If I see a brand of cheese and onion I haven't tried I just have to try them. In this way, I have found many fine crisps of the cheese and onion variety including Walkers which, as you say, offer neither new or 'improved' versions of their latest incarnations. In their defence I will say I doubt they would sell many if they took a more honest approach and stuck 'New: We've Made Them Worse"' on the front of the packets.

Well I bow to your somewhat superior knowledge on the whole crisp debate plus your advertising prowess but I still think C&O are pants  (Walkers that is)

I quite like C&O Discos

He really does...

The crisp isle in Morrisons is a nightmare of indecision and ponderings...

I know, because when God developed the potato in his lab, he thought, slice them thin and fry them, DO NOT FLAVOUR THEM (that was the 11th commandment the Bible writers conveniently left out).

You diddling well Zaph?

There is a subtlety of flavour that obviously passes you by, prom

Oh yeah, I forgot about the salt
You seem to have forgotten about the potato

Anyway... I am clearly amongst monosodium glutamate fans so I will take my purist tastes elsewhere
