What year was that again Renton? I know I wasn't very old but that story affected me badly...I couldn't hear that wee boys name without crying and I've often thought about him over the years. When I had kids of my own I couldn't even hear his name mentioned as it put fear into me about someone doing something awful to my kids. Frowner One of the saddest things I remember from growing up....and it's disgusting that one of the monsters who did it hasn't changed much.

same, i was about the same age of the two murderers, i couldn't believe that someone of my age was capable of doing that to a poor little toddler Frowner

What horribly disturbed children.

That was my thought too. They aren't just badly behaved, they're seriously, seriously disturbed. They need incarceration and psychiatric care. I wonder what made them like that. *shudder*

It has to be their background, l don't subscribe that some people are born evil/bad. Yes these children need an enviroment that they can be helped in everyway possible. But l don't believe that the people who "created" them and allowed them to become so feral, should escape from the prosecution process.

I think some people are born likely to be bad and need to be socialised out of their natural dispositions. I think you get the main chance in the first four years and then the possibility of modifying some stuff through the teenage years but after that it's pretty messed up. These lads are probably fecked for the rest of their lives now.

Like David Beckham or Linford Christie

So why do we find it so inconceivable that some people are by nature - evil?

One maybe not both. Feckless parents, who drop kids like rabbits, and take no responsibility for their upbringing. I think Beckham and Christie had a decent childhood.
I know a local family, mother prostitute and drug addict. 6 Children all going through the criminal process, all had different fathers, as one broke the law they passed it on to the next one. From theft to more serious offences, you wonder if their background had been stable, how would they have turned out. Now they are all career criminals.

some parents just don't want to bother.just don't care.....

my mate is a higher teaching assistant and visits children who are about to start school in their homes....a kind of 'get to know you thing' so the kids recognise faces.......anyway....the other day she and the teacher went to this house....after chatting to mum and son they went to the door to leave and said 'see you monday at school ******'.......as they turned round the 4 year old lad stuck his middle finger up and said 'feck(adapted!)you mother feckers'...

his mum stood and laughed and said 'he's a right one ain't he?'....

Here's a thought, possibly a very unpleasant one ... might Baby P have turned out like this if he had survived?

maybe, his mother was abused when she was a child...i dont know about the others who had a hand in his death.

it all seems to be one big nasty circle that just keeps going.

even if baby p was 'rescued' and brought up brilliantly at 17 months old instead of dying...he would probably have had some memory/issues of what had happened to him Frowner

I agree Croc....Although there's no excusing hat they did given how they were raised sadly it's understandable....Prosecute that poor excuse of a mother for unleashing what she did . Mad
