I was having this convo with my duighter the other day. Her friends used to go to school with wonderful braids and french plaits - poor little George use to have a poorly done lopsided pony tail. I was thankful that during the 80's there was a bit of a fashion for the lopsided pony tail. It was my saving grace.

growing indoor plants - they have a habit of being forgotten about until they are dead   yet I'm great with growing veg or any plants outside 

although I just repotted Malcom my money plant and his babies and fingers crossed they're doing OK 

Anything practical ....sewing, cooking, you name it   I'm useless at it  

Technology: computers, tv, dvd, and on and on . . .

I wouldn't let my daughter go to school till her hair was perfect (she had hair to her waist and thick as rope when plaited) she hated mornings  I can French Plait my own hair too

I once thought I was being so clever and put her hair in pipe cleaners overnight. I envisaged these beautiful golden ringlets the following morning.

we took the pipe ckeaners out and she hzd these inch long coils like Topsy from Uncle Toms Cabin.
