Actually the health and safety mob have stated you should never wash a chicken as you are contaminating surfaces,cloths etc with potentially dangerous bugs in the water splashing around.They say cooking it at the correct temp and the right timing is all you need to do...I never wash a chicken..waits.

At least I think it was Mrs Gusto and gods know how I remember that and the title might not have been quite right but then I dont eat chicken let alone wash it so I never went in that thread. I seem to remember Voy spending a lot of time in it

If I remember rightly it got quite intence I was one of the non chicken washing brigade....
I always make sure any meat I handle or put in my mouth is washed first
