I despair
I despair
I don't believe there is anyone who does not know that the BNP are racists and have racist ideas and prejudices. Those who vote for them are voting for them with open eyes and ears. No excuses.

I would never - except I would blame as well all those who did not vote as their apathy let BNP in. This election is fought on proportional representation which means every single vote counts towards the PR percentages.

It is hard to believe , but the fact that some people from ethnic miniorities vote for them shows that some people really are that dumb!

I can't believe when I saw Nick Griffin on the telly this morning he was walking along this corridor beiing escorted by police guard and he was holding a hand of what I can only assume is his wife or partner, I'm shocked he has a woman in his life, does she not realise who she is involved with, madness!

and you shouldnt be blaming yorkshire, blame the politicians who ignored so many that they felt the bnp offered them hope or blame the millions who just couldnt be bothered to get off their arses and vote at all.

Exactly what I was just going to say!!! The BNP supporters were bothered enough to vote...they wanted their say more than others...don't blame the party because their voters turned out and others didn't.

the nazis were a well organised people-governed by a man who to his own country was charasmatic and a good leader (im not sticking up for adolf by the way )
the BNP are not nazis-they are a bunch of wankers and ex football hooligans who are thick and ignorant and consider an evening out as a few pints down the george and dragon, followed by a curry in an establisment who's staff they despise (well i did say they were thick ) and to finish the evening off-kick a foreign looking persons head in

As do I. Actually, I find it a little offensive that some people are now tarring an entire region with the same racist brush. Most people on here know my political views and stance on the BNP but perhaps people should note that Nick Griffin thanked the mining communities of SOUTH Yorkshire for the vote. I can see exactly how this happened, these are extremely impoversihed communities with no prospects and they feel completely dispossessed. Every single one of the major political parties have ignored them despite the fact that they knew the BNP were actively courting votes there with their propagandist lies and promises to give these disafected voters a voice. I am horrified that anybody has have voted BNP. I am disgusted that the majority of people didn't vote at all. But mostly I am appalled that our political representation is so ineffectual that this situation has been allowed to happen. Some of the blame lies with voter ignorance. Most of the blame lies in a system that allows people to feel voiceless.

That's because of their 'We only hate the Muslims, really' tactics and propaganda.

well from a personal standpoint no, but i can imagine why in some areas and its not a race issue but a religious one.
So what do you see there "hope" is on a religious level then?quote:Originally posted by Big Brothers Big Scam:quote:Originally posted by The Singing Ringing Tree:Can you say what the Hope is that the people feel the BNP offer.quote:Originally posted by Big Brothers Big Scam:

Thank you.
I agree wholeheartedly with you Queen of the High Tea's. I'm afraid iv'e seen this coming, what with the state of the house of commons at the moment. People are disillusioned with what they've got and are desperately searching for something new, someone to listen to THEM. Unfortunatly this is one MASSIVE step backwards in civil rights and is bound to have nationwide repercussions. I hold my head in shame as to what my grandparents and great grandparents would make of this.

hope of avoiding this....
a labour mp or a moslem party representitive?
you see its not just there, its on the ground too and it scares people, to those the bnp is seen as someone to stop it.
I find it shocking that people are afraid of Muslims taking up percentage wise the amount of seats they should have by the law of averages. should I be afraid then of a parliament controled mostly by white males? Perhaps.quote:Originally posted by Big Brothers Big Scam:quote:Originally posted by The Singing Ringing Tree:

If we set ourselves up as a properly secular state with constitutional protection then it wouldn't matter so much if the particularly religious, muslem or christian, became part of our legislature.
