I will have a vegetarian staying with me.
Roast, sprouts, stuffing, bread sauce. and other vegetable.
I just get ready-cooked turkey for my plate.
Have never liked Christmas pudding, nor does my guest.
But we both like wine.
It might even be champagne.

I'll be taking the vegetarian wellington option. I never eat fish or fowl, and there's nee beef.
We've booked to eat Christmas dinner in a restaurant this year and I am SOOOO looking forward to it. No worry of getting all of the food that the 3 of us won't eat, no preparation, and best of all no clearing up after
Us too! Like the last few years. Several courses but one has to negotiate amongst the high risk stuff.

roast turkey and all the trimmings. Yes I know it is boringly traditional but roast xmas lunch always tastes different from any other roast lunch.
lots of ready prepared bung-it-in-the-oven veg, quorn roast, yorkshire puds & vegetarian gravy...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Its traditional turkey for me with the worlds best roast potatoes and
veg, (plenty sprouts) a few seconds silence for sprouty (rip) then it
will be eaten in a flash!
We like a traditional Christmas dinner - turkey, stuffing and all the trimmings.

xmas wouldnt be the same for me without traditional turkey. I dont eat it at any time during the year just so it stays special for that day.
Same...it has to be turkey and the lot.
Full traditional for me.
Bucks Fizz while opening presents.
Lunch of Roast Turkey, sausages in bacon, stuffing, sprouts, carrots, parsnips, roast and mash potatoes and gravy.
Followed by family recipe Christmas pudding served with Rum sauce - and it has to be rum sauce none of that Brandy butter.

There is no way the 3 of us would be able to eat a roast turkey - we'd be eating it for months! We have a Beef WEllington on Christmas Day.

I will buy a turkey even though there are just the two of us ( and the cat).
BUT what I do is freeze loads of it and then I have meat for most of January. I also make a huge vat of broth and freeze that as well.
So it is a sort of investment for January,...

Exactly the same!!! Apart from the sprouts *balks*
I am informed that the menu is Crayfish consommÃĐ served with fried duck and apple. Rack of lamb crusted with buckwheat flour with seasonal veg. A selction of French cheeses. Lightly frozen mint mousse with cracked caramelised chocolate and peppermint jelly.
Guess the belt will need to move up a few notches throughout the day

I have never understood why people buy turkeys the size of small donkeys and then spend the whole of Xmas trying to eat it. So a small turkey crown for Xmas eve sandwiches and a 3 bird roast from Aldis for a tenner feeds 4 adults with enough left over if anyone fancies. But by Boxing day it's all gone and that's the way I like it

Do you know I haven't actually thought about it except it will be vegetarian
I'm a little worried because we're off to the OHs family this year for the first time. I love a traditional xmas roast (with added garlic potatoes) but not sure what the sis in law is going to make She's used to cooking for just her, her hubby and the dog and this xmas she's invited 10 for dinner......I might make my excuses and stay home (mostly because of the dog who is allowed to stay in the kitchen during cooking/eating)

We usually have a turkey and a gammon joint... but mainly cos I like cold meat and pickles on Boxing Day better than actual Christmas dinner.

I do it every year. I love it. Usually about 15-20 of us for Xmas dinner. I normally shove it all on the table and it's like feeding time at the zoo
I don't do the clearing up though. That's what the men are for
I got called a saddo by one of my kids today coz I want a Halogen Oven and cookery books for Xmas. I love cooking THAT much
