Cher Lloyd has said that she deserves to be in the X Factor live shows.

Mentor Cheryl Cole controversially picked Lloyd, Katie Waissel and Rebecca Ferguson to progress from Judges' Houses, upsetting fans of Gamu Nhengu and Treyc Cohen.

However, Lloyd told X Magazine: "I know I didn't do too well at Cheryl's house, but I do deserve to be in the show. I know what I'm capable of, I just need to work at it.

"I'm not a one-trick pony - I'm not just the white girl that raps. I'm no Whitney, I'm no BeyoncÃĐ, but there's lots I can do.

"I'm doing okay. I've got my voice back, I've got my falsetto back. Now I'm just practising. It's getting quite intense, but I'm more excited than nervous at this point."

Of having Cole as her mentor, Lloyd added: "I'm over the moon we've got Cheryl. I honestly don't think there could have been anyone more perfect."

Good, not getting the Gamu love at all myself, liked TreyC but, dare I say it, not as much as Rebecca and Katie and can fully understand why Cheryl picked Katie and Cher over her in the first place

No surprises there, they can't sing for toffee, but I can see how they are 'different'/ 'entertaining'
